From: Chosen Few The whole point of having two cards is to double the power. That includes processing power AND memory. You don't get double the memory. Both cards are loaded with the same textures. From Nvidia: Question: In SLi mode, is memory shared (i.e do both 256MB cards become a 512MB configuration)? Anaswer: No, each GPU maintains its own frame-buffer so you will not double your memory. Rendering data, such as texture and geometry information, is duplicated across both cards. in a world where a fingernail can be a 1MB texture and each fingernail can have a different texture, more help doesn't hurt. as for helping one never knows with some programs.

Why get yourself 2 cards then if the cards are being mirrored. I do not see any advantage. cheers Amiryu Hosoi, Click for SLX catalog: http://slexchange.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&MerchantID=32983Click to visit the Store: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Virgin%20Island/175/176/30/Search Second Life: http://secondlife.com/app/search/search.php?cof=FORID%3A11&q=hosoi+ichiba&s=All&sa=Search+The+SL
