I recemtly rec'd a free object.(a female private part that squrts) and wore it from my inventory. When I did it asked to 'take money' and I granted it not knowing what it did, but the box kept asking to grant it again, and again. So I kept allowing it. Finally it was telling me something like i can't do that for lack of funds. Lack of funds????? This damn thing was 'stealing my money'! I took off the item and deleted it when I figured out what it was doing....paying another av MY lindens!!!!!!
My question is: What can I do about this, who do I report it to? When I searched for the av that this thing was paying it did not exist....
Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated!

File an Abuse Report, and make sure you include the name of the object & its creator. The name of the account the funds were being sent to wouldn't hurt either, if its different. If Linden follows up with the report & finds fraud, the receiving account's $Lindens may be frozen - and there's a teeny, tiny chance you might get your money back.

At the risk of sounding flippant, why would you think that it was necessary to pay your own, ahem, girl-bits??
 Not sure if this can be AR'ed since you accepted the item, wore it, and then agreed to pay money. It's like replying to spam emails that promise great fortunes if you supply the sender with your personal information. Don't do that, either. Both worlds have their large share of crooks. Don't accept and wear random items without looking into their origin and purpose and don't agree to do anything or pay for anything that you don't fully understand. _____________________

Did it come with a notecard and how many L$ are we talking here? Maybe it was designed to charge per squirt, hence why it was free to receive but not free to use?

Not that I am new to the game at all....but just too trusting of things. This is the first time anything like this ever happened to me in all the time I've been playing. It was one of those "that would never happen to me" screwups. I guess I've learned my lesson and will not grant anything again, even if it does 'squirt'...lol!
Thanks for the replies, even is some were a bit, cough, cough, not so nice! On another note, I just hope that if any newbies read this they will be aware that this could happen...even to a veteran of the game! |

On another note, I just hope that if any newbies read this they will be aware that this could happen...even to a veteran of the game! Yep, never grant debit permissions to anything you're unsure of, but keep in mind that there are valid objects which require them to function...for example, something like scripted vendors or the OnRez wallet. _____________________

Well, it is a little difficult to believe that, after four years, you have no knowledge of what that popup meant or that you've never seen anything ask to take your lindens before ... but now you know, when a thing asks you for lindens, it means it wants your lindens. That you couldn't find the creator in search might mean this person is long gone from SL and your lindens are floating in the aether. Let us know if you get them back because of that. _____________________
