I know I will leave SL if my partner ever does. Will you? I partnered "the Prof" just after he arrived. I found him when I was at Mahulu Hub and I was hunting for newbies to help. My SL world is "drawn" to a certain extent through his eyes. Three years is a long time. Hopefully he will be around a lot longer (he is old in real so who knows eh?) Tha didnt sound quite right but you know what I mean. Will you go when your partner goes? If not, why so?

I don't have a partner, nor am I looking for one, but If I had one and they left, I don't think that would make me leave in and of itself, It most likely wouldn't be my sole focus for being in SL, I've found many things that I enjoy doing, they would all have to be adversely affected to make me consider leaving. Much like in RL, I would cry a bit, then soldier up and move on.

Oh wow.
I cannot even fathom such a thing.
My SL and RL would crash and burn for several months, no doubt.

I'd leave SL if my partner turned up here! Pep (Luckily she's still having significant difficulties learning how to play Solitaire. )

/me erases some long, rambling reply. No(Even though I don't have one right now; I wouldn't if I did, and they did.)

Forum threads are proof that many do not leave SL when their Partner dumps them here, so why would we bother to leave SL if their Partner actually left SL? I've been dumped a couple of times and I am still in SL. I think I actually would have preferred if they had left SL.

From: Morgaine Alter I just hid and build It's interesting that building is the universal activity for those who for one reason or another wish to avoid socialising.

Quite probably, yes.
I came to SL to be able to RP with one particular Resident's avatars, and that resident has been my Partner in SL the whole time. (Well, we spent a year more informally as "Companions" first, before we made an official "Partner" status linking our profiles.)
If they left SL, and we remained interested in each other's company, then yes, I most likely would leave as well.
If we broke up completely and then they left? I don't know. I doubt I would stay, however.

My partner is my RL husband, so I wouldn't care at all if he quit. He'd still be all mine

From: Morgaine Alter Its easier to not see them on, when things go south. I understand completely. But annoying when they keep resurfacing as alts and try to tell you it was your fault, they were concerned for your sanity or some such other hippocracy they think of on the fly and then have the nerve to try and get you to see them again- mute is too good for them but what can you.
