As is evident, even obviously justified ARs of those posts with blatant nonPG language provoke irresponsible attempted retaliation. Why expose another avatar with a previously spotless reputation to unjustified attacks which might be actioned by moderators who haven't the time or inclination to investigate and who might make an incorect kneejerk reaction?

For some reason, I knew I was going to use "spineless" in a sentence today.

You would not need to use an alt to AR the posts you did - The person AR'ed is never informed about who did the AR. The only reason you made an ALT is to provoke strife by publicly informing those people you AR'ed that they have been AR'ed.

That's spineless.
