chest hair

stupid question, but for the life of me I can't do it. Having made my avi into one cool looking dude with the help of a brilliant US skin lady, I have noticed there is a chest hair texture in my inventory. Can anyone tell me in a step by step easy fashion, how the dickens I attach same to my avi's chest please?

My BF (Ghosty) is sitting right next to me. He's the smart one about this stuff lol. Said make an undershirt from the texture. You can do it in appearance mode.

You either have to modify the skin to have the chest hair, or create a clothing item, preferable the undershirt layer, and texture it with the chest hair. BTW - if you create the undershirt in SL, the texture will apply to the entire shirt (front and back). The only way to get the texture to only apply to part of the shirt is to do it all outside of SL and upload it -- see tutorials on making clothing.

if the texture is premade to only go where the chest hair is supposed to go, then putting it on undershirt (or shirt) layer should be perfectly ok

There is a store that only does guys' body hair in different variance of body hair density.
In layers, gloves, undershirt, socks etc. He has a freeb box or did.
I can't remember the name. Search was an ez find on "chest hair" if I remember.
Then! some one else also sells prim chest hair

the body hair on clothing layers sounds interesting though
if I get bored and want to try something new I just might give it a go

(what's funny is some one else asked about body hair textures another time here on the forums and I mentioned the same thing and got IMed inworld from ALOT of ppls wanting the LM! You know who you are!)

I'm just saying, you can try the Inventory texture or look up the place and grab a freeb to see

I just fiddled a little in photoshop doing chest hair (and leg hair) and it actually looks pretty neat

I might make some leg hair stockings just for the heck of it, for those times when too lazy to shave hehe

(of course men could wear it too)

how about superglue ? or maybe blue-tac on the nipples ?

yeah thanks guys.............sounds very complicated to me.....rather just have a little hair where the chest hair is supposed to be, rather than hairy shoulders and back.........maybe I'll just ask my lovely US lady who's into skin and probably very good at this sort of stuff.

I do wear the undershirt layer with chest hair. That shaved metrosexual look gave me the creeps.

OMG - yeah, just what I want to see - someone's prim chest hair sticking through their shirt because they forgot to take it off --- yes, very sexy indeed.

can't be any worse than some of the prim parts (male and female) I have seen that people did not take off or "hide"

Umm, Rha - did you ask him what color his pubic hair was and/or what color hair he normally wore on the head on his shoulders? Or do guys even take that into account or care?

no I did not ask, I merely sent a dark hair, and if it is the wrong color he can delete it (or ask me for a shade that fits if he likes it)

I did it only as an example, to see if this is what he has in mind (not as an actual hair that would work for him, for that I would need to know shade and "style" thickness etc

this was more for to show how it works on undershirt layer tis all

cheers i got the chest hair under thing and will have a modelling session today and let u know. I went clubbing last nite and wore it with open jacket and no-one clocked it not even the gf Maybe it needs to be a little thicker and darker? but I'll let u know ty.
O btw am generally dark haired and the avi i have is quite tanned with body hair from belly button downwards in normal fashion. Courtesy of Miss USA. I agree with another post, that the metrosexual unhaired bare look, is pretty unappealing.
