Oh dear! We're into the definition of "impassioned".
You may be into it but I'm not. I merely corrected you.

Nope. there are people about who "like a good argument", and some people like to try and destroy something rather than hope that it will go away.
And some people like to discuss things logically/academically.

The "various types of land" is not a real issue I think.
There are two basic types of land.
1. The owner wishes to attract avatars to visit that land
2. The owner has no interest is attracting visitors
The types of land probably does come into it, but I wasn't clear about what I meant. Your two types don't exist because they aren't types of land.

The types of land that I was thinking of are mainland and private islands. I was also thinking that mainland may be divided into the different continents and LL cities. "Types" is probably the wrong word though.

I've just done the next row in the north continent (at high concurrency - 70k by the time I'd finished) and the overall totals are:-

Sims: 55
Normal avs: 89
Bots: 16
Campers: 12
Total avs: 117
% of bots and campers: 24%

The percentage is about the same as the lower number of sims yesterday, and the percentage of bots and campers is still around half of Anya's high concurrency percentage.

The next row down looked very promising for a decent size bot farm so I went there for a sneak preview, but it's just an open club (Cloud Nine) with real people enjoying it.

You're finding a lot more avatars there than I am. Today and yesterday. I've checked three times in the last ten minutes and found 68, 61, 65. Concurrency was 67K when I signed in.

I've just counted on the map and there are 119 avs right now (concurrency: 66k). Remember there is an extra row since yesterday - from the top down to, and including, the row with the Echo sim on the left.

Sorry, I thought those were numbers for the one day. I was just about to ask where you found all the bots :)

No. It's the combined totals.

It's too darned boring to do too much in one session. I'm even thinking that I may not even make it to 100 or so sims. I hope I do - and more - because lower down that continent looks promising for some reasonable bots, but it's no good me jumping down to there or it won't be a survey of the whole land mass, and that's necessary for a realistically balanced picture of the continent. There's no rush though. Bots and campers don't tend to be here today and gone tomorrow.

Consider it an opportunity to learn. In my travels I found a new way to disguise bots, and a new way to game search that apparently works *really* well (I won't share).

You'll have to do 12 or 13 rows to get to your first good bot farm. I cheated and looked ahead.

I don't want you to share :)

Yesterday I came across a house that's full of stuff from my store - that was nice. Also a guy who recognised me from the forum. He was helpful by telling me that certain of his avs are bots. And I mentioned the girl who offered to show me rounf=d her castle. She was later in my store and realised that she'd bought from there before - also nice. So it's not without some interest, but overall it bloody boring.

I might sneak down tomorrow and have a peek - to relieve the boredom :)
