I'm in, but trust me, you don't want to be here.

Inventory hopelessly F'd-up. The count is about right, so it hasn't lost a lot, but it fetches each damned time I've logged in this morning, as if I'd cleared cache--but haven't--and this is with 1.19.1; I suspect something is amiss with 1.20 and Inventory anyway, which may in fact be the load difference on the central database and asset servers that's killing us right now.

And somewhere in the database refreshes or whatever they're doing, they reverted a script I was working on, inside an object in my Inventory. So, at the moment, things are not worth a bucket of warm spit.

My advice is to just not do anything important in-world until... until... oh, fuck it, just don't do anything important in-world, ever. :(

And with that I think I'll go try out RL for awhile. I hear it even has better graphics than SL!

I'm spending some time sending some information to news agencies. I'm surprised nobody has caught on to what LL is doing here. All I ever see is fluff stories about virtual life and the "next internet" yet I never see a story on how this company isn't capable of keeping their "next internet" online and stable for even 24 hours.

You mean besides the obvious "We're down again.. ok, we fixed it!... oops, broken again... Fixed now, case closed! .... oops, "gremlins" are back now... "we're reducing your functionality on peak times to help us stay online.." BS?

Maybe its more what they aren't doing than what they are.

well.. it is a bit unstable lately.. I've not been on years, just 9 months,, and I didn;t have any problems until these past month it seems.. But, I'm not sure the news people really care..

Ok, Im going to the store to buy some paint for that room I've been needing to paint for 9 months,,, if I come back and Sl is down and I actually have to paint it I'm giong to be a bit upset.

I was using the second life release candidate until last night, the second i logged in, before i could even say hello i crashed.... got annoying after 10 mins, so i downloaded the normal viewer and hey presto i could actually stay in world...

shame then that half of the people i sent IM's to i couldn't see their replies... i thought nobody was speaking to me :(

anyone else had that problem recently?

Yes, I crashed several times last night with the RC viewer and finally had to revert to the standard viewer to stay in. That was after nearly a day and a half of using the RC without crashing.

They are still "poking the database"...

If I were a database and were being poked, I'd be ornery too.

I just got billed for both tier and classified today and it got me thinking. Y'know, after one weekend of issues I'm a little annoyed but whatever, but after nearly a month of straight "don't rez or purchase anything" warnings I feel like LL ought to postpone tier charges as compensation for the problems. I know this gets pointed out all the time, and I generally don't agree, but in this case the length of time that we're having to endure problems is getting ridiculous.

Just rezzed an object- it blinked, blinked again and disappeared! rezzed another one- started to blink out- grabbed it in edit.... now if I shake it it appears! if not it blinks out and does not show in transparencies! Bugs you can play with!
