Click the quote button on her post and you will see.

That's right; and in addition to adding the IMG tags, I believe, you also need to uncheck the Automatically Parse Links box.

As a tangent here, one reason for the common white halo is that certain programs (I'm looking at you, GIMP) assumes a white background when flattening and exporting images, even when you think you're working with a transparent background in the layered file.
That transparent background still has RGB channels, and if you've got white in those RGB channels then what ELSE is it going to use when exporting? Check the actual color of your background layer. Even better, don't use a transparent background at all, and hide it instead of setting it transparent when you export the image, that way you can see what the background it's blending against will be.

This is slightly confusing me somewhat.

If I make a texture, for example, a brick wall with a window and of course the window panes will be transparent. if you have the background layer a colour sure the window is not then transparent. please put me right on this as what layers should be what to make the texture, thanks.

I use phtoshop action."Make alpha with flaming pear" I think it is freely available.I found it on the texture forum sticky.
One click and it sorts it I, never get a halo now.

Every pixel is ALWAYS a color. Even if it's 100% transparent. The color is just hidden by the transparency.

You need to make sure the color that is hidden by the transparency is a color that matches the edge of the window.

The color that you want the "halo" to be. When you use "fast alpha" you will always have a halo, the only difference is making the halo match the rest of the image.
