From: Day Oh True, if they were reuploaded, they're two different textures. I didn't think about that possibility, I would cry and gnash teeth if the same texture was used often like that, but reuploaded every time. I was thinking of the more common situation, where it's the same texture being passed around... the item copied many times, but still the same asset. I remember getting into an argument with someone over this subject in regards to "Totally Clear", "Full Transparent", "100%Clear", "Invisible", "Alpha100", and the HUNDREDS of different versions of completely clear alpha textures I've found while picking up building supplies. (^_^) Some of these clear/invisible textures were up to 512x512 resolution. Each and every one would have a different UUID. If you ever wondered why you'd often still see facelight prims while rezzing..... heh. =^-^= So, I pose the argument that the *Default Transparent Texture in the library is a good thing and a few builders shoot me down hard because each of their individual 16x16 textures are "better" (again, more UUIDs). One even suggested that I'm trying to ask people to break their content in order to drive an agenda to promote use of library assets. (=_=) Funny people are funny. (^_^)y
