Did you perchance grow up in that genetic (and linguistic) dead-end the Isle of Man? No. Also, tabs are filters, not cigarettes. A fag end could be either end, while a tab end is the filter end specifically. It's a very old phrase.

Since no one has smoked a roll-up in the UK since 1847, that might explain why the phrase has fallen out of use.

did you use the same password on any SL related website? NO absolutely not. And as I said I don't think the password the account had when cracked was easy, but in retrospect it wasn't strong enough either. Right now dealing with Paypal is causing me too pull some hair out, but I'm still very pleased with LL's response to this. I can't help but wonder if it's possible to somehow grab an account-it's info while one is in world, and regardless I will be much more cautious after this. I like the idea of having a set limit on credit spending. I never bought the quantity of L$ that the cracker did and I don't need to so I want to have a set limit and a circuit breaker in my payment method. I think that rules out Paypal. Gift cards work in SL and I could go back to them but dislike the service charge. Also anyone who aspires to this kind of thing should get use to wearing orange preferably in a place with real deviants. I'm not a big law & order kind of person and that said this caused me a lot of grief-it's not a joking matter when it happens to you. Again much thanks to those here who offered support and suggestions. |

Anyone able to loan me a fag? LOL Anyway to OP I am sorry what happen it reminds me I should figure out new strong password even though mine is very long it says its "medium" strength.  I haven't used paypal in over year. Something about them I just don't trust after reading your experience I don't know if I want to use them.

I'm updating this because it's important to have the whole story and because we all like happy endings (well I do)  Today after I called and had also finalized all the requirements at paypal LL did return to my account all the money that had been taken from it. WOOOOT!!! The password meter says mine is "strong" It must be because I can't memorize it. Happy Holidays to all! |

I only smoke shisha.  Btw,I HAD a safe password over at Ebay, and my account was hacked a while back, too. Nope, no spyware etc. but a very good and properly configured firewall and five different spyware/trojan/etc. scanners, so it wasn't a "leak" on my part...it still happened. Someone from Hong Kong tried to sell stuff to himself but was too daft to change my Paypal account, too (thank goodness!). Ebay had my account reset almost instantly tho. No harm done, and I got the 20 cent listing fee back, too...
