From: eku Zhong haha you been spying on my stuffs? Ooh! I have got to come check out your store! (Looked for you over the weekend briefly, had a link and comments to share - if u see me wave in case I forget!) Re cafes - Mahdu's is like that- quiet, intimate, inducing conversation.

From: Clarissa Lowell There are a few Euro style cafes but they are nearly always empty. They only seem to come up in search by accident, may be why. Where? ha ha I still search, on occasion, for a nice little cafe to relax at with my Ladyfriend. I will have to attempt accidental search results for such. /me chuckles Thank you.

Make a build where YOU want to spend time and relax, whether that's a spa, a bar, a beach, a garden, or an asteroid floating in space.
Then invite your friends over for a party.
Keep bringing them over every week. Make it a regular gathering
Oh...and put out a donation jar or two. Don't require tips, or solicit them. Just take whatever comes.
If it's a fun place to be, word will get around. Two things make it fun: a good, unusual, interesting build, and having other interesting people there to talk to. Work on both of those.

if you are expecting to make money on an idea, ANY idea, first you have to be offering something, then you have to know if people want it, and how much they're willing to pay for it. A pretty location and some animations that play.... sorry I can get that all over for free... scenery is overrated in the buyers market. it is however a great advertising and retention tool for co-located stores (next door please, nothing ruins a nice location like ads or vendors plastered everywhere.) From: Rhaorth Antonelli I have a great idea for a game (well I think it is a great idea) but do not know enough about scripting to do the hard part, so... either I hire someone and spend the money, and end up not being able to recup the losses or I just sit on the idea there are scripters that will work on commission, partial commission, retention of design, and other payment models. contracts with live people go far towards building trust. (I couldn't devote the time to full development, but I'd happily consult on whether the mechanisms are available if you aren't sure whether specific aspects are possible, gratis)

thanks void, but I am gonna just sit on the idea (for now) maybe someday I will ask someone if it is possible without causing a ton of lag to a sim heh (I have mentioned it to a few people I know, in passing, and they said they had not seen a game like it in SL and they think it would be fun to play) ah well
