Looking for suggestions for a store that may have a superb man's formal outfit.
Pocket - can you do something like that? I will IM you in world - This would be for a formal wedding - not sure of the time yet have to check the invite.
But would love to hear suggestions far and wide - at least get an idea of what precisely I am looking for.
Thanks all!
A

DE Designs has a formal wear section, and SFD has LOTS of formal wear. I like SFD because you can mix and match. There's one other place but I can't think of it now... starts with an M and has neat stuff too, more on the hipster side of things (wingtip shoes, zoot suits, etc.) I'll find it and repost here when I get inworld later.

This thread has me thinking. I never wear a tux in real life except in the most dire of circumstances. They're uncomfortable. I look damn good in one, though. I'd like a tux in SL. I could be at home in sweats, a t-shirt and fuzzy slippers and looking like a million bucks in SL. I like that.
Not to totally derail this thread, but where are some places to go where a guy in a tux would fit in. I've seen women wandering around strange places in formal ball gowns, but I'd like somewhere with a more formal air to it. That would be fun. Anyone up for dancing when I finally get my ISP to cough up cable service again (not that they have stopped charging me - I'm sure they'll fix it...eventually...)

I have to second the recommendation for Blaze. I love the tux I've got there, with mix and match colored vests (all fully modifiable). Rebel Hope also has some classy men's formal wear.

The Blue Note And I'll put in my vote for Blaze's. Overall, his tuxes are the best I've seen. I have two. He has a new line of tuxes, but for a tux with tails, get Blaze's Symphony tux. (It's an older tux, but still available.) You can get black, gray, or white. I have the black and love it. The only thing I don't like is that it comes with a long tie instead of a bowtie. The newer tuxes come with bowties; if you want a bow tie and if the newer bowtie/shirt combinations aren't available separately, ask Blaze or an associate if there's a way they can provide it for you.

.d If it's my wedding, I'm going to need a heavy coat to go over that tux because it will be a cold day in hell... Stop laughing. No...really. Ok, go ahead. I could probably ask around and find somone to go with me if I was really nice to them. Am I supposed to buy a corsage or something? Maybe steal some of my dad's beer for the party at the hotel after the prom? Amaranthim - I think it's sort of cool when women dress in ball gowns and wander around. It's dorky when guys do it in tuxes though. I think the RL correlation is that guys feel socially uncomfortable when formally dressed, while women feel beautiful and special (generalizations, I know). A guy can be showered, shaved and completely dressed in a tux in about a half hour in RL - it takes a woman up to three days to get ready for a formal event. Keep doing it - I'm sure you look beautiful.

Everyone has to dress the same in SL as they are in RL. I guess we would need to go on the honor system. Pants required?

I fourth or fifth or whatever it is the nominations for Blaze. I have probably half a dozen Blaze tuxes and they all look super sharp, including the one I'm wearing in my forum avatar (my SL wedding day). P2

The first item of clothing I ever spent Lindens on was a Blaze tuxedo. I hadn't even created my male avatar yet--I just had to have the tux!
