Bears from Heaven?

A friend of mine just asked me the oddest question (to me, anyway)...he asked:

"Did you tell me the other day about a teddy bear that fell from the sky?"

When I laughingly replied no, and asked why, his response was:

"today I was at the Linden Bear Museum and there was some bios on a couple of Lindens that are bug hunters..... and it started me thinking that maybe bears falling from the sky might be a calling card for having fixed a bug"

Can anyone confirm this?

Not Helpful...but funny... Since I was the one that asked HoneyBear that question and Im not sure I gave her the full story.... here goes:

A friend of mine last week, dont remember who.... has a tenant on her property, who was having some difficulties rezzing objects on her property.... she went to check it out, and had no issues with rezzing herself. They were doing some troubleshooting for a bit when a teddy bear fell out of the sky in front of them, and all of a sudden all the problems they had with rezzing were gone. I told my friend that she should probably delete the teddy bear just in case it had some scripts attached to it that would muck things up. Then I went on about my business and forgot about it.

I was doing some research for a museum article for a magazine and took a visit to the Linden Bear museum. There's some interesting creations over there but there were no explanations about the bears themselves...except posted on the wall behind a couple of them were discussions of a couple of Lindens who were bug hunters (responding to and fixing bugs). I couldnt think of any reason why that should have anything to do with the Linden Bears themselves except I started wondering if maybe the Lindens were leaving little premade teddy bears as a calling card for having come by and fixed a bug.

Does anyone else have any thoughts? :)

Since the teddy bear fell, it had physics enabled.
Physical objects stuck inside other prims or stuck on a parcel boundary can cause lag, and therefore affect rezzing.

Chances are the teddybear WAS the problem, got unstuck from whatever, and sorted itself out.

Could be... I know Socrates Linden has a physical bear that tries to fly around. Kinda fun. It may be that he was there fixing the problem and dropped one once the problem got fixed. Shame people didn't check the owner when this happened.

A Linden Bear Museum? I didn't know there were any Linden sponsored museums. Did it have a bondage bear? I have a bondage bear.

There is no direct correlation: Lindens do not drop bears from the heavens. They will give you one if you ask nicely, though. All* Lindens have a bear to give

Mari
(Who also has a "resident bear," as well as a 100-or-so Linden Bear collection)

*read "all" in the same way you might read "You can always teleport"

If they were in my home they would be long ingested by now.

You know you are tripping hard when you see flashing police lights in your rearview mirror and your first thought is "Ooo, pretty lights."

It was the one time I ever talked myself out of a ticket. Or maybe he gave me one but I swallowed it...

are there any other Linden or SLebrity mystique collectables?I sure would like to know..would be neat if if people could hold on to stuff that wasnt around no more.

I've heard that Staraxes stuff is collectable and if i wanted to pay 25 ,000 linden for a 146 prim cat i guess i could own that. Any thing else?

Maybe the Lindens should hold events or sumpn..well i guess they do with Burning Life. :)

Light Waves made the cat - the Starax stuff can be a _lot_ more expensive than that.. Saw an Achilles go for L$75k a while ago. Some of the rarer pieces will go for even more.
