A simple answer is requested.
Thank you.

The meaning of life is to breed and make new life.
At least this is what happens in nature.

I watched "the Universe" on the History channel, which was weird since "history" generally doesnt include the 13 billion years of things that took place before the dawn of human civilizations.

But anyway.

It sounds like the answer to Life, the Universe and Everything is:

Gravity.

You are the answer? I think we need a new question.

My Third Life Grid isn't finished so the answer would be just enjoy what you can be it creating your own Third, Second or First Life in best ways you can because within what seems like cosmic blink of a eye you will be nothing, no data will be left of you in great data servers but maybe dust where your avatar once stood and that may not exist any more.

"...Consider that two wrongs never make a right, but that three do. Wherever possible, put people on hold. Be comforted, that in the face of all irridity and disillusionment, and despite the changing fortunes of time, there is always a big future in computer maintenance...."

Irridity is not a recognized word. I believe the original was "aridity". Of course, "heredity" also works.

Versions disagree about what makes a right - a third wrong, or three lefts. Some texts have "but that three do"; others have "but that three lefts do". I go with the latter, but then, I believe two are sometimes enough. Witness:

Suzy Wong (a fair-to-middlin' singer, not the movie star) and her sister Brunhilde, an event coordinator, have a nice little gig in managing weddings and/or funerals (either or both, same price). For a very reasonable sum they can provide sentimental music sung against a background of a pealing bell, while your choice of clergy does the dirty work up front. An effective, simple duet: A Wong with a song and a Wong with a gong; two Wongs can indeed, make a rite.

Take this person out and shoot him/her/it before they can post again!

Or I'll be forced to post my most egregious shaggy-dog pun story, and then you'll be sorry.

I use the National Lampoon Radio Dinner recording as my source on this quoted passage.

Ouch!

Well, I think i'm going with 'aridity' for the word choice describing this story ... dry, very dry!

Homer Simpson had it right. Its alcohol, the cause of, and the solution to all the world's problems.

I learned "The Answer" a long time ago.
It didn't bring me Riches, or make Life any Easier, but at least i Understand what is going on now, and it isn't all as complicated as some people make it out to be. With knowing that, i did get some measure of Inner Peace.
I could tell you what it is, But it's so elementary however that you would probably reject it out of hand, and having done so, Condemned yourself to never again being able to find it.

Just Knowing what the answer is isn't enough. Douglas Adams said it was 42, But then, it had no Context. people didn't really know what the Question was so the answer made no sense. It still doesn't after the creation of the second "Computer" because the second computer was Contaminated in it's last 40,000 years of calculations. The answer, 42 is still right, But we still don't know the Question.

Seriously, I think it's something Each person has to find out for themselves, otherwise the answer will be meaningless. No Personal Context with which to Frame it.

Good Hunting.

Angel.
