Guidance please?

I'm about 3 yrs in SL, but still new to a lot of things.. for instance, I stumbled on an item in my inventory called Defense. It contains scripts labeled anti-push, cloak, invisibility, stay in sim, and stop animation.
I'd like to experiment with these, but can't find a way to use them.
Is their a HUD or other object that I need?

At first I thought that read 'stay slim'. Boy wouldn't that be nice in rl.

My real life anti-push device is to be fat. That way you're harder to push, and nothing short of a nuclear bomb is going to orbit you. You also tend to not be all that animated, so it's a good stop animation tool.

Invisibility is going to be a problem.

Maybe I can be invisible by hiding under the mountain of Winchells and Pizza hut boxes that I've collected along the way.

Mmmm... Pizza and doughnuts (I had to look up Winchells). I didn't have breakfast and ate a bag of peanuts for lunch (along with the peanuts inside the bag). I am SOOoo hungry, I'm not hungry anymore. Any chance there's some crumbs left in one of those boxes?

@Rha, I went by your store yesterday and was certain your cat was _my_ cat. I finally turned around and said "What do you want?". He was sleeping...

Actually, it would be pretty cool to have a "cover" rezzing tool.

Say /Invisible! (or something similar - it has to be in open chat or it's not funny) and it rezzes a mountain of pizza boxes around you, or a bush or something. I'd like a bush that your legs stick out of when you walk, then when you stop, it squats down and becmes a bush, like in the Scooby Doo Cartoons when they are sneaking around. How hilarious would that be! Maybe a mailbox.

Love the replies,,, the bush or the stack of boxes should be easy for a good builder/scripter.

Would that be the "MySitstool" that I've heard of? If so, I think it's not free.

You dont need the mystitool! If what you found is scripts you got all you need if not IM me inworld I will help but all those things are good to keep a hold of especially if in script form. You would right click and select wear if not in script form or rez them out with transparency on then open and tranfer scripts to inventory.

Fact is most antigrief is not really needed sitting on a box is suficient.

As for the Mysti tool, Mystical Cookie offers a free version with a bit less options but still very good and useful. Just go to her store.

It's the MystiTool by Mystical Cookie and there is a free version with a number of the full-version features at her(?) shop in-world.

been expanding the fishing area, one of the folks in the sim, that owned the land right next to mine, was sweet enough to trade plots with me so I could expand... it is looking pretty cool, and relaxing with the sound effects, and ya can fish there too

and if you have the swimmer, you can swim as I used the prim swim water for the pond... hehe

You're a box full of ideas Trout, with leaky seams. The bush is possible. It's just the dropping down part when you're not walking that I'm not sure of. There must be a way though. That's how AOs work isn't it?
And it would have to be accompanied by plinky little tip toe sounds.

Exactly - The bush would be pretty easy - just make a bush and wear it. It would need some AO where the stand animation was squatted down. How hilarious would it be to follow someone around like that?

OMG - I'm laughing just thinking about it.

Every time they stop, you drop down. When they start walking, your legs pop out and you follow them around on tip toes making thak plinky sound.

Just use any standard AO such as the ZHAO, and replace the stand anis with sit on the ground ones.

I've made a tip toe walk - I'll drop you a copy and you can give it a try - it works in a ZHAO or similar ao.

I actually looked around for a bush avatar last night, just couldn't believe it hadn't already been done. I found a few George W. Bush avs and a weird Christmas tree, but no walking bush or shrub. Lots of scripted mailboxes, but not the walking variety. I did see a walking fish though...

I noticed Deira dropped the tiptoe walking animation on me. Thanks Deira!! All I need is a slightly squatting stand animation and I can build the bush myself. Should be pretty easy if I find the right texture. I bet the animation I need is out there. Drop it into Zhao, attach the bush and adjust it, fire up the AO and BAM! Secret agent time.

The mailbox would be funny and easy to build as well. I'd make the mail slot open with a couple cartoon eyeballs looking out.

I don't know if it's my AO (SEmotion), but if I push the down arrow while standing, I squat. If your default walk is the tiptoe, and you can squat by pushing the down arrow, all you need is the bush! Hahaha....

If I push the down arrow while standing, I walk backwards. I'll check SEmotion - If I can just get the squat animation, I can put it in the slot for standing in Zhao and make it the default stand animation. The bush is a simple build. I think I have a few bushy textures floating around in my inventory.

You bet I'll let people know when it's done. I'll probably stalk people around the "Project which must not be named". Ever dance with a sneaky bush? I'm always good for a dance.

Just use the 'Fly' down button you use on your keyboard while not flying. Makes my avatar squat.

same here... the squat animation depends on your AO though.. default you just kinda crouch a little.

Mine (Jax's Free AO) causes you to do the 'roof crouch' animation, the kinda spiderman on the building crouch.

All I want is a little crouch. Just enough to drop the bush to the ground. I might have it in my AO - I've never crouched that I'm aware of. At any rate, I'll shop around until I find what I want. Animations are pretty cheap, Zhao and the bush are free and Deira gave me a tiptoe animation.

I think there is a cardboard box that does this. In fact, I think Marianne has one.
