I appreciate the troubleshooting comments such as "getting stuck" and that is always being looked at and improved upon.

I just went through the Cave. Even though I'm not a big fan of a lot of blood, the effects were well done and some creative poses I'd not seen before even after spending a lot of time in haunted mazes and such last Halloween.

My one constructive bit of advice is that I got stuck after using the pose ball in the crypt. When I stood up I was wedged between the crypt and the side of the cave. I wasn't able to move any direction. Tried the "rez a box, sit on it and move" trick but after rezzing the box couldn't manage to sit on it. Mystitool saved the day using its Non-Physical Vehicle that allowed me to sit in that and walk through walls. Was then able to continue through the cave.

I agree with other posters...a few more strategically placed tip jars wouldn't hurt. :)

maybe a donation jar at each ride would help some..you could put one of those ticket boxes at the entrance of each ride with one of those prim humans in there..
it would add to the effect of the park plus maybe up your tips coming in..also it may show what rides people really do enjoy more if there was a way to monitor which jar the tips came from..

Good idea, but there aren't any rides. It's a walk-through haunted cave. :)

That's what I thought too when I first began reading the thread. I LOVE amusement parks :)

makes me nostalgic for my old Fun House

I have been to spots like castle replicas & what not who charged an entry fee..also a certain Kangaroo's camper target practice zone did... I always was willin' ta drop down a few L$ for somethin funny like that myself...but I agree that u gotta pick one or the other. ...nobodys' gonna tip if they paid to get in. Well, a FEW will...but since u would have ta keep the entry fee pretty low for new visitors ta get in, you would need a LOT of traffic.

I agree about makin' the tip hats visible.

* A few things I had when I had Jesters Fun House was:

* A giant Windmill ride (our biggest draw)

* A wishing well that charged 5L$ per wish. (think it's still for sale on Slexchange)

*A cheap fortune teller (w/ Modify perms, so I could change her fortunes & give repeat visitors new ones every time. make the fortunes funny/goofy or real sarcastic, folks love that)

I also had slot machines & more keepin visitors entertained was the #1 priority...but the whole thing was that the visitors spread out thier purchases so much, they lost track of how much they spent, & gave good word-of-mouth free advertising. They STILL tipped, too. Since they didn't spend all the L$ in one place, they felt like they got more for thier "buck".

Find ways to charge small amounts for as much as possible, AND accept tips, is my advice.
