Interestingly enough, I read an article not so long ago that claimed men can also suffer PMS-like symptoms on a monthly basis too ;) Before any one cracks the joke about suffering from their partners PMS, this article was talking about men with no partners too.

They're just ripping off the infamous Bloomer Bandits. Their crime spree was brief but memorable.

I guess it's time I told this story...

During the Spring of '92, I took two hits of acid and wandered into the desert outside of Barstow. There, as the sun set, I was granted a spectacular vision that could only be the work of Her Holiness and proved to me once and for all that God exists.

trust me when i say you do not want to be on the edge of Barstow. ever. in fact, avoiding it altogether is the best advice i can give you.

i have but one question about Barstow in general? WHY?!!!???

Because it's better than Los Banos and it makes Modesto look pretty nice as well.

not to be arguementative, but i disagree. i've been to all of those places (all terribly far away and not related to Barstow in any fashion - i mean, they have trees & grass & shade - at least), and worst of all, Barstow is NO WHERE. i mean, it's no where. who would choose to live there? i mean, why does it even exist? was there once a luscious waterflow? did the town grow around it? well, it dried up, yet barstow is somehow not a ghost town. but it does has a certain charm ..... in a "i need to find water" kind of way.

You've been to Los banos and you saw trees? Were they ion a book or painted on a wall or something? Los Banos, CA or some other Los Banos?

Ok - how about Visalia. Barstow is WAY better than Visalia.

Barstow is on the way to Las Vegas. Las Vegas is a place I've driven to a few times for various odd reasons. I've stopped for gas at Barstow.

For those driving to Las Vegas from L.A., Barstow provides gasoline, Rock Star soda, Subway sandwiches, and in Hunter S. Thompson's case, a fine place to break into his pint of raw ether.
