@Treasure: You are aptly named. Great pics, and thanks to Lexxi as well.
@Scylla and Weston: I am also a devotee of Edward Hopper. Ben Shan, as well. _____________________

This is probably the biggest problem with our health care system. The massive under treatment of chronic pain and the prosecution of doctors who prescribe more meds than the government thinks is needed by the patient. Have you seen this one? http://www.aclu.org/drugpolicy/religion/40964prs20090903.html ... _____________________

Speaking of House, this is the house I've been working on for the past FOUR MONTHS. The little person is the dreaded Seven Okelli. The pink thing gives out parachutes. On the back you can't see but there is a dormer on the second floor. The upstairs is very attic-like. It's still not finished, but the structure is done and so are the outside textures. (Except for the underside of the roof.) I've learned a lot, and can see that I have a lot more to learn. I don't mean that as just a thing to say. I know specifically some things I have to learn. ![]() _____________________

... [ETA: Actually I wish they would just get on with the nano research. I want my nervous system replicated and all my arteries repaired as we were promised in the early 80's when we called them "biochips." I'd also like to see Kurtzweil's Singularity take place.] You guys really calm me down from all my stress at work. I can't think of any eloquent ways to say thanks -- but thanks! _____________________

Me too. ![]() Well, actually I had to look up Ben Shan so thanks for introducing me, Brenda. I've just looked at some of his work and enjoyed it a lot. ![]() I was introduced to Hopper and Shan in High School, ironically in an American Literature class where their works were both used in a textbook. I have been fascinated by them ever since. _____________________

I had to jump on the tire iron to loosen the lug nuts but I got good at it pretty quickly. Pep (So that'll be the last time.) _____________________

She does still post somewhat randomly Pep (I have explained what "random" actually means to my kids, to which the reply was, of course, "whatever".) _____________________

Momma . . . ? Does this mean Switzerland's off? ![]() Of course not, unless you would prefer to go to the land where they use. "Tal." I already sent you your traveling dress yesterday, didn't you get it? Very jaunty AND green. Do let me know as sometimes there is a perms mix-up. Since Jiggy is so willful I sent her one exactly the same, as well as a blue and very demure gown. She will lull them into a sense of security in that dress ![]() @Lexxi: You may want to check with Ann. Des denies it but.... @Lil, I got one of those pumpkins yesterday. Very cool and copyable. I can make a whole patch now. @Kaimi. Thanks. It is such a pretty dress, without the veil it is versatile. The details, as usual with Arundel are gorgeous. @ Claire: Thanks, I was just running through the windlight settings until I thought, "Yeah, baby, that's the one" My poor Sim mate did come upon me while I was doing it and it DID look like I was ready to take a flying leap. Too funny, the timing. @Seven: That is a cute little house. Next you will have to decorate ![]() Weston, thanks. I'm colorblind so it is always risky business. I just pick something I like and hope for the best. Great photos all (Although Scylla you look suspiciously PASSED OUT! How unladylike!!!!) about Ben Shan, LMAO, that must have been the inspiration for the vote NO to Lisbon propoganda in Ireland this last month ![]() Pepstar, your portraits are up. It is more of a photo story though ![]() Chatty chatty chatty chatty bunch! Probably missed half of you, sorry, I gots bunnies to feed. _____________________

Good morning everyone! I hope y'all are doing well?
I think I'm fighting something off. 8 hours sleep, and I'm still a little draggy. *sigh* Maybe it is because my Cardinals are 0-2 against the Dodgers now. *ears droop a little* ![]() _____________________

Good morning, Threadies.
Rushing off to the pool at the gym; I googled "swimmer's breakfast", and this is what popped up! ![]() Here is a typical Michael Phelps breakfast: Three fried-egg sandwiches topped with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, fried onions and mayonnaise. And that’s just to get his stomach warmed up for the main portion of his breakfast, which includes two cups of coffee, a five-egg omelet, a bowl of grits, three slices of French toast topped with powdered sugar and three chocolate-chip pancakes. ![]() It's a wonder he doesn't just sink to the bottom of the pool!!! ![]() So...I'm hoping there's something there for everyone! ![]() |
