I think I missed the big announcement. Why all the doom and gloom about forum demise? Has word come down from on high?

My curiosity is slaked and my patience with broken records is worn thin so Edwina goes back in the bowl.

Good morning, everyone.

not wanting to argue, as i'm not, nor do i feel like being a voice of disagreement during a period which is overrun with such, but:

no. actually he's been working quite steadily and enjoying a life of lower pressure. (note what's in production for 2011)

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000607/

:D

Heh, 2011 is more than ten years from the incident. Which I can't recall date of now. Fizzled as in his name dropped off my radar, and the television series he was going to star in disappeared. Though I haven't watched television regularly in a long time, so for all I know, he could have been starring in 3 series at the same time for the last five years and I would likely not have noticed.

Should have said seemed to fizzle to me, as in I heard his name attached to a lot of new projects after the incident, then I lost track of him.

Very nice there's a lot of character in this pic, Lexxi another glimpse at another fragment of your story.

Another subtle and intriguing mood shift.

Love the pics Lexxi :)
Thanks for the rezday wishes everyone :)

Thanks! :)

. . . and oops, happy rezday :)

I hope Lexxi posts more photos. I will always be grateful to her for cluing me in (through the photos she posts) about the expanded Windlight settings. Such vibrancy in her pictures :)

Thanks :) I need to start using those settings again. I haven't bothered in a while. And re: posting more - can't until at least 9 hours from now.

Hey, Lil! I finally got to use that texture alignment pattern you told me about - it is fantastic!

As soon as I applied the texture I saw that I was being thrown off by the rotation of the prims. I didn't realize that my texture was upside-down on one piece.

I got through a lot of work really quickly with that thing. Thanks!

What was the product named; link to the xstreetsl product page? I looked last night and I couldn't find the mention in the thread.

When we finally saw a gas station, we pulled off and I ran in to find some fluid for the windshield.

They didn't have any, but they did have ammonia. So I bought it and ran back out. My two friends were sitting in the car with the engine running. I told them what I got and one said, "Don't put that stuff in the reservoir, just pour it over the windshield." Then she rolled up her window.

I poured it evenly and liberally across the windscreen.

OMG! that's the craziest thing i ever heard! did it smoke up at all too?

I now have to go outside in the dark and bring in the dry clothes and put out the wet clothes from the washer.
I have to walk in the dark over snails and slugs, walk through bug infested grass, and mess with the washing line which is usually covered in spiders......which I can't see. So I will be swatting at my imagination thinking I'm covered in bugs for the rest of the night.
I will come in,. thoroughly shaken, fold the clothes after checking every inch for insect life, and then jump straight into the bath, after throwing my clothes straight into washer.

And this is all because mum is too ecoconcious to buy a tumble drier and one time I found a rather large spider had made a web in my hair without me noticing while I had been wandering around outside in the dark doing the washing thing and hadn't checked for bugs before sitting down for the evening.

Feel sorry for me :(

i totally feel sorry for you!!! :(

@Smoky - hi and welcome!

Hey, Lexxi - I loved that shot of you with the chopper!

It's called the Texture Alignment Pattern:

https://www.xstreetsl.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=item&ItemID=1444355

It's a texture that you put on (at least) two prims and then you can see exactly how the patterns line up. There are a lot of colored and numbered boxes, so you can pretty easily work out the repeats and offsets.

Once you do that, you apply any texture and they line up beautifully.

LL closed the XStreetSL Forums with a bang! and so - even though they didn't announce a date for freezing us - it's not hard to feel a chilling effect.

But I think I've managed to bundle up in my mental furs. Some of us have found new (future) homes in other forums, some of us are angry, and so on.

Tex, what's this? - the 'good day to die' reminded me of both Star Trek, Klingons, in general- and Blade Runner -
