I am slaving away at the office. But I will see if there is a decent camera to be had at lunchtime. Look, I am a little slow at gadgetry. It too me a long time before I used a fax machine, and the camera I have at home uses film. My cell phone is just a phone. My VCR uses tapes. You mean a Luddite. I'm with you, although not quite as late of an adopter. I just embrace technology on my terms, when I need it or want it, not just because it's there or some stupid commercial says I'm not cool if I don't.

Ice storm hit us last night and it got down to 23, so it froze up and stayed that way. Took me only 1.5 hours to get to work though, since they let us come in late and it had a chance to melt a bit. My blog had an astounding 678 hits yesterday, I'm thoroughly jazzed!! And....be prepared for a new shoe line coming from HoneyBear's

I've never really considered that the doughnuts are actually good, though the crueller is good, as is the sour creme glazed. And the glazed cinnamon roll. But the real treat from Tims is a well made coffee. If they don't manage to screw it up, it's a wonderful, full, experience. |

It did it once before during a snowstorm and he promised to send someone over. Obviously dropped the ball. Dealing with someone who runs business from out of state, is not an easy task /me hopes Ghosty has found enough large pots and garbage pails

Honeybear, be careful up there in the ice. That goes for the rest of you as well, but I know most Texans don't know how to drive in icy weather. Congrats on the blog as well! 3Ring, I'll keep working on coming up with the name of that town. Yosef would most likely have better suggestions for west Texas than I would. Depending on what part of west Texas you are in there are some obvious choices that may interest you, like the Cadillac Ranch, Palo Duro Canyon (panhandle area) or further south the Marfa Lights. I'm sure I can come up with a few more suggestions depending on your interest. If you're in to glutony at all there's a place in Amarillo that offers a 72 ounce steak. I think it's free if you can eat it in an hour. Just across the border in New Mexico I highly recommend Calsbad Caverns. Although it's not in Texas I'm obliged to point out that it was discovered by a Texan. Speaking of Yosef, has anyone heard from him lately? I know he was talking about a possible move and/or job change recently.

Dunno about that. When I was a Michigan State, those jokes usually started, "There was this (not so friendly term for Canadian)..." I think it was because back then, the Canadians all seemed to eat their fries with either mustard or mayonnaise and other strange stuff. I still do the fries and mustard thing as a result, but never understood the mayonnaisse at all. Reportedly the mayor of Detroit back then mixed up names before a delegation from Windsor. Canada when telling the King Canute story, but my friend from Detroit at the time said it was unlikely that any mayor of Detroit would know a thing about a person called King Canute.
