Y'all have probably seen this, as it appeared after the Pres. Bush shoe incident, but just in case...

I just have a hard time trusting a site filled with stolen copyrighted materials and poor spelling with $1800USD of my money.

ETA: And an approximate $300-400 per person surcharge for them putting up a website? The cruise is the standard Carnival cruise...so, why the excess?
I agree.

I had a conversation not long ago about childhood heroes. I said something about I really didn't have one. I did play a lot of batman but he was not a hero as much as an excuse to jump off the house in a cape.

But I do have a couple of adult heroes.
First, you gotta have humor.

If you can't laugh at yourself you might as well not be here at all.

Second, you have to know how to be cool. James Dean maybe the icon of cool, but I always looked towards Bogart for cool. Being a tough guy just so much the better.

And for the nerd in me (which has to be a big part if I spend so much time here  )

Thanks Maureen, I hadn't seen it and I need to send the link to my husband. I predicted someone would make a website game.

I saw this show on food network once. Food 911 or something like it. This couple lived in California, she was from Kansas City and he was from New York. The show was about showing her how to make BBQ like she remembered it. The guy said something about "there are lots of good BBQ places around California" so the host asked him "how do you like the bagels here?"
I wonder if I've ever had a "real" bagel. I have eaten California bagels with people from New York - Jewish people from New York even - and they seemed to enjoy them. On the other hand San Diego is full of people from NYC and Chicago who are always whining that they can't get decent pizza or bagels out here.

I think to a certain extent you can judge a person by their heroes. This just confirms what we all already knew. You are cool.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

So I tested my new puter with SL. It's like a whole different experience lol. I was getting up to 45 fps at home and up to 32 at the hangout of all places. Compared to my laptop's 1.5-5 max. I can see all the water and sky effects now. I like.:D
