She's been drenched in rain, frozen in snow, fell in a river, caught some fish, etc, so she understands the rather soggy state of affairs up here.

We need something that really defines the state.

It's not all of the above?

Well, Trout, if you want wine tasting out east you might try the wine festival later this month in Leavenworth. The town is beautifully sited in the Cascades, and it used to be a dying lumber town. Then it reinvented itself as a faux Bavarian village.

Most of the year it's just a nice place with gorgeous mountain backdrop and one or two great B&B's with duvets and great pastry, but at Christmas it spasms into a kitch factory with townsfolk roleplaying their little faux-Bavarian hearts out.

I thought that WAS the definition of that state.
:D :p

She was probably wishing for rain because folks do not know how to do things there when it is not all soggy.

You might be a lost cause. We can still save her, though. Look at your silly little mound of rocks, lol. It was probably an entire mountain before you dehydrated it. Now it's a little raisin mountain.

(You know I'm kidding, right? I love the time I spent in AZ. I have really wonderful memories and I'd love to go back.)

Tully's is a great idea! We missed Seafair. Wine tasting in Eastern WA is a possibility. A ride on a ferry would be fun. She's been drenched in rain, frozen in snow, fell in a river, caught some fish, etc, so she understands the rather soggy state of affairs up here.

i got it!

Pullayup Fair!! then we take her to Issaquah and the last A&W Resturaunt, then we take her to Seacrest(?) Beach and dive off the coast there, then on to The Sandcastle Event and Fudge Tasting! after that we can take her to the Olympic Peninsula!

I've been to Leavenworth! That whole Stevens Pass drive is amazing! Great idea! How could I have forgotten it. It's almost too over-the-top kitschy around Christmas, but the rest of the year it's a great place.

Deffo on the Puyallup. Seacrest State Park is good. What's the name of that Fort in Port Townsend where they filmed "An Officer and a Gentleman"? Actually, that whole Peninsula Loop is nice. When is the Sandcastle Event?

Today! I promise..

Wow, beautiful pics, you guys. WA, LA, AZ... they all have their own beauty don't they.

On the other hand... here is a view of my little corner of So. Cal this morning.

I always wanted to move to the Pacific Northwest, but this last year, we had such a cold winter in Southern California. I was truly miserable from all the 40 some odd degree days. The desert is looking more attractive all the time! I love the desert anyway, all the interesting plants and flowers. The wildflowers seem like such a rare and lovely gift in the desert.

Back to work for me. Good morning everyone, hoping you're all having a great day.

:)

Solitary was nice. It was quiet in there, and I only had to stab my bunkmate with a sharpened toothbrush twice to get sent there. The food wasn't half bad either.

Night life sucked, though. There were no dance clubs, bars, or anything, and the live music was mostly harmonica blues.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Boy, I know, Morgaine...

I'm pretty good in Excel and I wouldn't touch that thread with a ten-foot pole. Amara, Kudos for your patience.
