a shop offers to make modifications on the shapes they sell, for a rate of 100L per value per individual shape.
I bought a shape there, and wanted to have it modded to hand size 25 to make my prim nails fit again.
The pack actually contained four versions of the same shape, without eyelashes and with long eyelashes, and "normal" and "skirt shape", so of course i asked for clarification on the price, since i dont consider four small variations of the same shape as "individual" shapes.
I never got any clear answers, just cut&paste from their "shop policy" and now I'm being ignored.
I have to say, "customer service" usually looks different than that.

Erm, yeah, these forums don't allow you to name names in a negative fashion like that.

Individuals who have a dispute with each other have other channels of communication to discuss their differences or communicate – private messaging, IM within Second Life, or chatting within Second Life. Also, threads that are addressed to a single individual or group are inappropriate on the forums, this includes slander or "naming names" in a posts title, starting polls about a particular resident or group, etc."

First of all, you should edit out the name of the shop in your post. it's against TOS. Saying that, a certain shop, which that also does Male shapes, sells only non-mod shapes, which strikes me as rather peculiar.
If you ask them why, they send you all 60 of their shapes, non of which you can modify.
I hate my nose!

I really need to get into the shape selling business, $100 for a simple adjustment of the hand sliders sure sounds like a goldmine.

ok, name removed. From: Raymond Figtree "Individuals who have a dispute with each other have other channels of communication to discuss their differences or communicate – private messaging, IM within Second Life, or chatting within Second Life. how, when the owner of that "business" refuses to reply to my question? From: Raymond Figtree "Also, threads that are addressed to a single individual or group are inappropriate on the forums, this includes slander or "naming names" in a posts title, starting polls about a particular resident or group, etc." then how should other people know which shops to avoid? btw, all the shapes have "template linden" as creator... odd...

From: Yuukie Onmura then how should other people know which shops to avoid? Good question. No real answer, but the question to go with that one is "How do people know which are warnings and which are slander by possible compitition?". The second question is the reason why the "no names" policy exists on the forums. No good solution that I have seen yet to this delima. As for the shape... Make it yourself. Seriously, all it takes is a bit of time. The sliders can be a pain to learn, but a tweak here, a tweak there, bit of advice from this friend, then that one, and you'll wind up with a shape that's perfect for you. Granted, the shapes in the trial and error stage can range from okay, to horrifying, to silly ^.^ Part and parcel of the "growing up" stage in SL, imo. Just take copies of your shape for backups. Make sure you are not playing with the only copy of the oen that is "okay". And you can hit places like YadNi's Junkyard for free FULL PERM shapes in the meantime if you want. ~Jessy

From: Yuukie Onmura then how should other people know which shops to avoid? You can do that by discussing things in general though . You just found out why it's undesirable to buy no-mod shapes. Even if the store owner has a policy of making adjustments on demand for free, you'll always be dependant on them for even the simplest things. There are (or used to be anyway ) enough stores that sell their shapes as M/C/NT which would suit all your needs. From: someone btw, all the shapes have "template linden" as creator... odd... That just means the creator started from an existing default shape, rather than create a new one manually. You'll see the same thing with some skins or clothing.

There are plenty of shapes stores that sell their shapes Mod/Copy
More than half of the business does I think.
I have heard similar about the shape store mentioned, in fact I had to make a duplicate before some custom work due to their unresponsiveness on making modifications. Of course I do not know how patient my customer was with them ...
I suggest the OP change both the title and the Original Post to remove the name of the store.

If I can't modify it, I won't buy it. Just a rule I live by.
