Seriously, though, I get this every single time I make a substantial transaction with LL -- charges get bounced, my CC gets turned off, I get phone calls in the middle of the night to verify charges, etc. ... what an ordeal. My CC issuer *hates* LL. Tell your CC company to put that on the list of "OK places to charge you." If they can't do that, then it's time for a new CC. This is a pretty standard thing CC companies do.

From: Walker Moore It's called the Sterling Card, and as it's a Mastercard, you'd have no problem whatsoever paying LL with it. Nice idea Katier.  the Post office one is Visa Electron but still think it'll work fine. |

What a pain. My husband and I use this same card with 3 other accounts, and between them have charged several thousand dollars since January. For every large land purchase, my cc fraud dept calls me, and I keep telling them that LL charges on this card are ok, and to please allow them.
I'm just glad the account finally got verified.

I think they are just very conservative, and very good (too good, sometimes), at looking out for me. It is a credit union, customer service is good, and the rate is low. I guess maybe they have encountered a lot of fraud with LL, or at least the fraud division has gotten that info from the rest of the industry. Its a pain, but I guess it is better than allowing fraud to slip through. Princess Ivory
