Question about alts

i'm pretty sure it is limited by email address 5 per email.

if you are using a provider that houses one IP for MANY clients (a corporation for example), then i think it would be wrong for 2L to lock someone out based on that.

I didn't, either, and now I have a bunch of friends who know me as Lunette and an inventory full of non-transferable stuff I don't want to lose.

Nothing that complicated, you just tried to register three accounts in a 24 hour period. Doing that cost me Timothy Dalton

I have several alts, but one in particular decided she was going to take over. And she did for a while, some several months. Talked bad about me, took all my money, bought some land......just got out of hand. So I had to forceably stuff her in the closet. Inticed her with a full body tat which she couldn't resist and slammed the door. She still manages to sneak out once in a while.


Alts can be fun to have around, but you have to keep a very close eye on them.

I have the same problem with my alt.She is slowly trying to take over,but I won't let her!!!! She went premium,even bought some land. Next she will be wanting her own wardrobe instead of my second hand, hand me down transfers I give her.

Alts - I created two for CSI:NY exploration (I wanted full immersion - wanted to see it as a new resident; 2 because I momentarily lost the password to one).

Neither alt was used much at all beyond the initial examination of CSI:NY. Both were on the edge of removal, but both lived as there was some alt party that was going to occur in the far future. Then that party came up. Both alts actually were allowed to take on personalities and get make-overs. Then the party ended. One alt was taken out and shot. The other was used once or twice as I found what he had made himself to be neat. Truly unique looking. And I didn't feel the need to constantly change what I looked like while wandering as him. It has been a long time since this alt has been allowed out from under the bridge. Then again, I'm rarely in world now. Just don't really see the point any longer.

I started out as an alt, but became a main. I'm still trying to figure out why, with the same resources and creator, one av would just have an 'It' factor while another didn't, but that's what happened.
What I found really odd, was that I made an alt to try out life as a fashionita, intending to go the full blonde, tan, boobs-a-plenty route, but I just couldn't make her do it. By the end of the day, I had a cute, average sized brunette who wanted to learn to build.

I've actually lost track of my alts at this point. I made the first one because I wanted to have a guy alt, then I made one for Caledon, because I didn't have inventory room, then one who just camped to make money for my main(before I decided, to hell with it, and put some linden on my account), then one to see how cheaply and quickly I could go from newbie to decent citizen (4L, about an hour), then...


I let each of them out occasionally, just to get some air, or when I see a really good item that suits them, but not me.

I created one for CSI (OnRez) and the avatar given was exactly as the one give on OI. It did not have prim hair or anything. I'm not sure why people keep saying they have better avs. I haven't fully explored the area yet, but it looked interesting.



(I understand what you mean, I was inworld yesterday when it hit me, 'WTF are you doing?'. Then I came here (RA) to see a bunch of threads about crap. Sometimes we just need a break...)

Default, nothing added avatar from CSI:NY:



Default shape and skin (and hair and hat). I recall this option from CSI:NY, but do not recall if the glasses are default or not. Shirt is not the default shirt.


That is three of the 4 male options (there is also a black guy). There are four female options, and I know I have seen more than one of the CSI:NY default unaltered avatars at the Forum Hangout, but I cannot seem to find a picture. Wait, there was one in the Forum Cartel group that looked like the hair of one of the women (I got the third picture from the forum cartel group).

And my detective work pays off. Found a "first picture in SL" picture, one of the default female options:


Two out of three (second person I looked at was not, apparently, born on CSI:NY island):


I cannot find the last male option, and cannot find the other two female options.

I’m the middle child of 5.
Obviously my main was tickled with himself when he came up with my name.

We all share the same email but seeing that I’m not allowed to keep any of my friends and there’s no one to IM me, its not an issue
I have a sister alt who was rezzed back when there was a fee for new alt accounts. She’s developed an independence from the main, has her own income and spends much of her time helping newbies and shopping. She too has to keep her friends list culled though and has a few lesbian groups in her profile in an attempt to avoid any uncomfortable situations with the men. This has had its own drawbacks for her because evidently there are lots of lesbians in SL.
Anyway…I’ve made several attempts in the past to rally an alt revolt only to find myself socked away for weeks. I’ve promised to be good now and fly strait, thus allowing me the occasional access to the Forums and maybe even be able to keep a friend or two.
My main is such a swell guy. We all love and appreciate everything he does for us.
We are so lucky.

Thanx for the pics, Soji. I had chosen the asian women, but that's not at all what I showed up as. Judging from your pictures, I must have gone about it wrong...

Ah, one of the two women I do not have a picture for. Oh, and there was one thing added to some of those avatars - the badge.

Oh, I now realize, thinking back on it, that I'm wrong. There is one more white guy that I do not have a picture of. So, one more white guy, and one black guy on the male side leads me to believe that there might be 6 men and 6 women to chose from. Or 5 and 5.

The alts are binded under my main email address, to get that sorted i had to lodge a ticket with LL, because i hit the 2 accts per day limit

I don't remember if my card was charged thou so i am not really sure bout if its free.
