Ok folks, in the spirit of avoiding work for as long as possible, and with Halloween coming up... I am sure we will all have a couple of parties to go to so lets save some time with a thread about the best costume shops or best designers for costumes in sl. Now in sl the word 'costume' is a little strange... from where I stand, someone's costume is another’s everyday wear - So feel free to include designers that do fashion that could be used as part of a costume as well  . Our very own Oryx has some awesome stuff, and if you are looking for masks Siyu Suen is the one to see. I myself have this great 1700ths naval hat that I need to build a costume around so any suggestions would be great. AND.. if we are going to have a forum Halloween party, hint, hint, we should probably schedule it now so our celebrity members can pencil it into their busy schedules. .d |

I got a great Pirate costume for Talk Like A Pirate Day, and was going to recycle it for Halloween. But then I realized that I was guilty of RL thinking. In SL, the possibilities for "costumes" are far, far more extensive than a new set of clothes. So i went to Grendel's Children. And no, I'm not telling you what I'll be coming to the party as.

I'm taking a cue from Cherry's ideas and not planning an event that'll last for only a couple of hours, which will exclude people from one time zone or another, but more of a day long celebration. Starting maybe at 11AM SL time, and just carrying through the day. Maybe some of our members who DJ will do a set, I am looking into maybe getting a few live acts as well, just make it a day in costume, people can come and go through out the day, bring friends etc. Any suggestions can be sent to me in PM or inworld.
