In my opinion, it's not appropriate to use that term in SL.

Not terrorists. Just griefers. Please be judicious using the T word, especially today.

This seems to be their busy season. I've AR'd turtle cubes three times in the past week, in two different sims; was at a memorial event today, which got griefed; and just a few minutes ago had another attack of turtle cubes and money particles in my home sim. Somebody needs to take away their internet access and make them go do their homework or something.

Excellent point to raise there Raymond. That's not a word to use today even if you are not affected by or even thinking about 9/11

Raymond, didn't you read that news article last month about SL and terrorists.

Yes I read it. That is a different situation and a more appropriate use of the word. Do you believe what was reported in that article to be true?

Have a great trip. Are you taking your laptop?

We have a saying over here.... "When the cat is from home, the mice dance on the table!"

Have a good time with your family Strife....

Now *that* looks like it may have lost a little in translation ... "While the cat's away, the mice will play" was a very early idiom I was taught!

Er .. this is just for literal info .. I'm not condoning the action at all ... snicker!

Kinda ironic, overusing the word terrorist to describe griefers, a term that is also vastly overused, in my opinion.

*dances on the table*

I like your version better, too!

As for terrorists...

Um... wouldn't part of being a terrorist actually involve... um... you know... terror?

Crashing sims and being a childish asshole is not being a terrorist.

THere should be a new name, as greifer is a) done to death and b) not quite right.

"Frustratiist"
"Angrist"
"Sigh-inducing-shmuck" works, no?
"You owe me a keyboard 'cuz I just lost two hours work when you crashed that sim with your stupid self-replicating penises, so I put my fist through the area spanning D to K, all four rows AND the spacebar-ist"?

There has been a lot of overreaction to both.

/me hands Morwen a block of cheese. Play, dance on the table, same thing. Someone hit the music! Let's get this party going!

JK, Strife. Have fun seeing family and we won't get too out of line while you're gone.

We already have several. "Jerk", "schmuck", and "a$$ho1e" come to mind.

But by all means, let's invent some new ones. It's fun, and keeps our resident linguist busy...

Well call it whatever you want.

It's like if my favorite shopping mall were constantly overrun with people making it impossible to shop. Or if my business were in the shopping mall, and people were constantly making it impossible for my customers to buy.

That sort of thing is illegal, and for good reason.

That sort of thing in SL is why people with any sense don't bother with SL.
