There's, uh, probably a lot of things you didn't know about lindens. Another, another interesting, uh, lindenism, uh, there are only three jobs available to a linden. When you seem to be flying out of control like that, relogging is the only sure cure. And no, the world is flat in SL. It doesn't wrap from one edge to the other in any way. Darn, was looking forward to some long-distance travel.  _____________________

But if something fails and your client loses that communication then yes you will sometimes keep moving or falling in 1 direction. Usually you will 'snap' back to the proper spot, but if the connection totally fails then you will just keep going forever. And yeah you are still partially connected but it's time to relog. |

Yes somewhere around 4,000 metres below I was informed I had lost contct with the region, not sure which one at that point Oh and of course the relog put my feet firmly back on the ground _____________________

So what's the farthest UP anyone's been? I got orbited to about 2 million meters once, that's what, 20,000 km? Not nearly close enough for the Moon, which is 384,402 km away. Bummer. I was hoping to at least see some space junk or meteors or something up there. I would so dearly love it if the grid went truly 3D and we could buy sims stacked on top of each other.
