I've just logged in and nothing loaded: not clothes, attachments, notecards, gestures or the map. I tried going in and out of appearance to fix the clothes problem, but that wouldn't open. I found I could TP using existing landmarks but the map showed my landing spot as an invalid location. I relogged and went to an empty sim, but had the same problems.
Is it just me?

I had the same problem and now the grid is down we are offline.You know I have never said this before but .... who runs this place? Its so frustrating sometimes. Other games dont have these problems. Is Second Life really that much harder to get right?

SL is not that 'much harder' to manage, just more complex. I saw it myself in our datacentre, which will grow to be the central one for our company in Europe next month. It got more complex and we sunk quite a bit of money into it. Redundancy costs money and a lot of it, but on the bright side... our environment does not change on the softwareside that much Meh... LL... get on with it.. I have a few thingies to try out... how frustrating it this? Bought neato dresses and SL goes kabloooeeeey when I try them on... grrrrr _____________________

ive been logged in for a few days.
woke up this morning to find that the sims i frequent are nearly empty, contact list is showing no one online, home sim and neighboring sims are empty except for some "sleek" avatars logged in being used to game traffic numbers. i guess ill just park myself and turn my draw distance down to 10 meters and wait until i get home form work 8 hours later. hopefully by then, everything will be back to normal. |
