Question about Bloodlines

Does anyone know if you can get your name deleted from Bloodlines completey? My partner and I decided we don't want to be a part of that anymore and would like our names deleted completely from the system but not sure if it's possible or how to go about doing it. If anyone has any answers or info let me know. Thanks

Leave a message with the creator. I think their Email is posted somewhere too. They're too proud of their database to actually exclude people, but will pull your name upon direct request. (^_^)

And, don't let them feed you guff about their stupid "Garlic Necklace"... That's just another table for them, you're still permanently logged. (=_=)y

Thank you for your input. I wouldn't listen to their crap about the necklace anyways lol. We just really don't wish to waste money on it anymore, he has let himself die and my soul is now in abyss plus I don't really like who his soul belongs to and instead of trying to waste more money to force transfer the soul and all that garbage we would rather just have ourselves removed because it just wasn't fun to us anymore. I am going to message the creator and have him do the same. Thanks again!

They sell the "Wormwood" potion just for that purpose.

I am not sure if they remove people by hand anymore.

Note that if they do remove your (or his) name from the database, that means that you (or he) are now totally fresh meat for every single bloodlines spampire that comes along, and you can most likely expect that the number of bite requests is going to increase dramatically.

Even a random bite is a [SELL] since the FIRST reaction you're "supposed" to have is to go buy whatever HUD, potion, elixir, whatever... to get your 'soul' back or become a vamp-ish-thing or something. (=_=)

When a Bloodlines Vampire asks to bite you, press the Mute button on the dialog. This will mute the Bloodlines HUD. Figuratively pulls their teeth out. Every other vampire with the same HUD uuid has no teeth either when you do this.

yes that's why we want out. everything is you gotta buy this you gotta buy that. If we wanted his soul from the person that has it and they won't give it up we would have to "buy" the item to force transfer it and I am always having to buy apples and it has just gotten old. We are trying to focus on running a sim with a awesome club and shops and all that good stuff and totally not into the vampire crap anymore. We could just walk away and leave our names on the site but we really would prefer to be removed.

Can't you just mute these spampires and continue on your merry way? If it's really bad just dump the accounts you have now and start over with fresh accounts.

For each one you mute, there are 3 others lurking and spamming for bites. You'd have to mute by group or something. And starting with a fresh account will make you just as much a target, if not moreso, once you cross 15 days from "hands-off-newb" status in their HUD. (=_=)y

wish the hud had the sence to ignore people where in sl before the spampires where born and are not bitten yet.

If you'd allowed someone to bite you by mistake and now wanted your name off the game's lists, I could sympathize.

But you and your partner were active players. Not too successful, from the sound of it, but never mind that. My point is that there is some OTHER player who owns your partner's soul. Presumably, this has some value to him in game terms.

By taking you off the list, that player gets short-changed. Not very fair to him, he worked hard for that soul.

I say, just forget it. Leave the game, leave the group, mute anyone who bugs you about it. But your souls are just going to have to stay where they are. It's the only way to keep score fairly.

I, ashamedly admit, I did do the garlic necklace thing. Since then, I've not been bothered by bite requests. I know I'm now in the 'garlic necklace database' but it's worth it to me, to have my avatar in there, to keep my SL spampire free. I know for some (was it Lil?) they've receive bite requests even after wearing the garlic necklace, but thus far, I"ve been lucky.

Why not ignore the whole thing? I think I was bitten a long time ago and I've never heard from anyone after that. I suppose if you still hang out in the vamp communiy that you'd want to get off their list. But really, is there a downside to remain in their database?

to the OP - just forget about it, like Bree said, I was bitten once a long time ago, now I just ignore any requests, which admittedly have become few and far between. It's just a stupid in-house game idiots play and who really cares if your avi's name is mouldering in some dusty old database on planet zog? It's not a ponzi scheme. They sell a real product, which is the game.

When I played Dungeons and Dragons way back when, I had to buy the rulebooks, and buy the supplement books, and buy the dice, and buy the little metal figures.

What I don't like is the protection-racket aspect of the game. It is designed to force you to participate at some level (buying the potion, wearing the garlic). If one does not participate, one is harassed by "bite" requests all the time. They need to play their game without bothering people who don't play. A "bite request" isn't innocuous. It is a threatening action.

I don't care that the garlic necklace is free. I do not have to wear specific attachments or do specific things or jump through someone else's hoops to NOT play the game. I control myself; the players and creators of this game do not control me. That being free from harassment is a privilege bestowed by the game creators and players is just insulting.

I'm pissed off, nobody's offered to bite me. Is it because I have bigger teeth than them?
