From: 3Ring Binder dude, this is all TMI that you ask for. but basically, it was a set up (as we later found out). a girl had a 'shart' i guess, and it forced the other hot-tubbers to flee the scene. very nasty! i'm sorry i ever posted it, and can't tell you why i find it funny.... but i do. it was interesting to say the least. good find -Crunch

Disappeared Without a Trace?
08-05-2008 15:11
Been weeks now, im's and notecards to the members of "The Dutch Masters" group go without answer- Tressis, the company behind it is still current on their site, yet blogs that are related haven't posted in over a month. Milan Brynner the Concept Director for Virtual Starry Night last login was 7/26/2008, Liza Gibbs his contact persons last login- 7/24/2008, this is about the time the sims disapeared.

From: Barrington John Is it just me or has Virtual Starry Night (the superb interactive Van Gogh museum) disappeared? When I try to go there I get "Unable to find teleport destination. The destination may be temporarily unavailable or no longer exists.". The destination I'm trying to use is Luctesa (112, 129, 25).
It's been like that for at least a couple of days now. Does anyone have any inside information on what's happened? I haven't tried to go there, but I have received that message several times when trying to tp for the last couple days.

This is too sad. All the more reason to NOT DELAY to check out interesting areas that you've heard about. Shopping can wait. Well, okay, most of the time it can wait. I'd rather forgo a new dress than have missed the opportunity to check out Privateer Space top to bottom. Visit these incredible sims and let the owners that you enjoy them (donations, notecards, putting them in your picks, buy from shops there etc). Here is one of my favourite spots in the Van Gogh exhibit More great sims to check out on my Flckr page (see sig)

Gone But Not Forgotten

Kind of sure it's gone for good, "The Dutch Masters" group is pretty much abandoned- the sims are no longer there.

Not Gone! (some hope of return)
08-06-2008 02:06
Got an email response from Liza Gibbs, contact person for Virtual Starry Night through Tressis Virtual Worlds. There have been "technical issues" and they are working on a return. No details were shared.
But this brings up a couple of questions:
What is the turn around time if a server fails?
Where would they go to keep Second Life citizens informed?

Indeed it is good news - poor Liza must have had her work cut out for her today, reassuring us all!
I received a reply too, saying pretty much the same thing. This has cheered up my morning no end.
