Thanks for all the good input. I am now on a new HP pavilion with a nVidia 8700 something..2gig...big ass screen...... low price of 1350.00 (not Lindens hehehe)
The graffics are insane! but then that is compared the the piece of crap I was running. So far I am pretty happy with this... I can move around a lot faster in SL and everything looks rockin!
