Thanks Raymond,

I have started working inworld with a few large land owners and have some billboards up. I plan to expand that in the next few weeks as I'm trying to collect around 50 surveys.

Thank you!
Mark

We are all so sick of big signs that spin, flash, light up, are unattractive etc. Everywhere we look, someone is advertising something, and the landscape (and sky) is just a cluttered mess where no one person's sign stands out or gets noticed.

Try contacting various groups in SL, and see if they will send out a group notice on your behalf. You will get much better results that way. Most of us ignore billboards and signs.

Hi Princess Ivory,

I'm trying to do this without bothering people. Do you have any groups in mind? That could be very helpful.

I appreciate your comments, I agree about the billboards, I like the idea of having islands that are covered with billboards, perhaps there should be advertising free zones for people that don't want to see advertising.

Thank you,
Mark

Hi Rebecca,

I'm sorry that you're still having problems. I don't know what the problem is. I checked with the administrator and it worked fine. I also tried with two different browsers on my own machine (I'm on a Mac however).

Has anyone else tried? Maybe you could get a friend an in-world friend to try and see if they have the same problem but we've had 3 come in today that were filled out correctly. This must be very frustrating. If you end up not being able to get it to work, let me send you some L$ for your trouble.

Thank you!!!

Mark,
I've been in SL for just over one year now. My best education has come from exploring the random diversity I encounter. Go shopping somewhere. Maybe someplace they sell ladies shoes. Look at the profiles of some of the shoppers. See what groups they belong to. You can even double-click on the group, and find out more about it. Write down a few groups that seem very different from each other. Then go to another store. Maybe this one sells BDSM or sex toys. Look at groups those shoppers belong to (or look away!). Then go to a beautiful sim like Gardens of Apollo or something. Do the same thing. It's a very educational process. And now you have a cross-section of groups to contact. Just be sure to allow for variety, and don't go to too many places that attract the same type of person repeatedly.

Good luck.

I was actually going to respond, but when the first four questions were RL name, RL address, RL phone number, and age, I got a little suspicious. You don;'t need that to verify it's a response from a unique individual. Since I could see no good reason for asking for such information, I declined to answer any of it.
