I have been a resident of Second Life since December of 2007, and today is the first time I am fully able to appreciate the work of others, by this I mean I have never been able to 'see' Second Life as it is designed to be seen. Hubby decided to buy me a new video card for our desktop (so he could have his laptop back), $55 has never made my jaw drop so much and my mouth gape wide open. WOW! I have installed the latest viewer (1.20.15.92456) onto the desktop for the first time and I did not get a pop up telling me my video card was inadequate!! So, reflections, amazing sunsets, works of art etc, I need a few places that you would consider "must see". I know this is a rather general question and I don't have a particular 'taste', just whatever comes into your minds.

Thanks .. and I have to say it once again ... WOW!!!

Tusk... its one huge building covering an entire sim and you need to see it at full draw distance to really appreciated it... preferably by moonlight.

congrats on your new system.

thanks for the ideas everyone and the congrats, it really is like having a brand new toy to play with and I am sure it can only enhance my SL experience, I really don't do much exploring, one because I spend so much time building and 2, its never been worth it as it normally takes so long for places to load, and when they finally do, they don't look as they should because of the poopy graphics on the PC, amazingly enough, this PC only cost us 500$ 2 years ago and it cost so little to make it all better.

I am definately going to be exploring today, to heck with building and commerce for once!!

So far I have got to Svarga & Tusk, both have taken my breath away, literally, I knew there were many talented people in Sl but this, this is incredible.

Straylight, I have been here several times before but didn't note the name of the sim, been shopping for trees here (never bought though .. yet)

Have been to Black Swan once before, I am there now and it looks so different? and the dead swan is actually quite disturbing :( And I must purchase a watch or necklace to proceed into the Sim, never used to be like that, I am about to be escorted away as I type lol

Sentry Drone: You have 0 minutes before being escorted from the sim. Please purchase a Black Swan Watch in the entry hall if you wish to explore further.

Sentry Drone: Thank you for your visit of Rezzable's Black Swan art gallery! Please Come again and purchase a Black Swan Watch to allow further exploration!

That sure beats just being ejected :D Pretty awesome

I'll recommend my two favorite sandboxes: New Berlin and Eternal Creations. Both are on very friendly sims so after you get done building, you can actually meet people who won't chase you off their property with a stick. The club at Eternal Creations is also friendly. I've always felt comfortable there even though it's an Evangelical Christian sim.

I second the AM Radio recommendation. I went there the other night and it's really good! I picked up some of the freebies and they are beautiful. His Microscope and telescope are my favorites. The only problem is they are about a zillion prims! I can't display more than one at a time on my mad scientist workbench in my home without going over my prim limit. But holy smokes - they are beautiful.

The Vietnam War memorial is beautifully done. Set your draw distance out a little ways. It might make you tear up a little, but it's a wonderful build.

Would love a LM to the AM Radio place. I've loved everything else he's done.

With the new video card, be sure to catch Mari's next fireworks show at Livingtree. Saturday at 8pm SLT. Crank the particles to max and set a big draw distance so you can see the full show.

Last time I checked, you could still get to most of Privateer Space if you wore a flight assist and started flying before you TPed over.

I'll find it for you when I get inworld. It was sort of a Kansas/dustbowl kind of build and very large. Be sure to go into the farmhouse. There's all sorts of neat things to click in there (it's not a private residence - it's ok to go in).

Good man. Needless to say, using Search was as fruitless as a dead apple tree.

lol - good analogy. Actually, I think I found it originally in Showcase. I was just paging around looking for interesting things and happened upon it.

Wow thanks everyone, so many good recommendations, I will definately try to jot down about the firework show, I got sidetracked today, building (had to be done) but I am gonna do some more exploring tomorrow, everywhere I went today was fantastic. Tonight after a tip about a lucky stump, I went to (names lost on me ) HMP? and I had been there several times before but never had I seen it like this before, its amazing.

To all the wonderful creators out there who design and build places for us to just 'see' and explore, I thank you!

This one really isn't AM's place it's more of an installation. You should find the link to his personal space/place at this site though, or i could try and remember to send you the LM if yo haven't already found it. Also when in the farm house look in the attic, there is a TP to a hidden land in there too, a collaboration with the amazing prim scripter Miki Gymnast.
