Recurring threads thread

Just had a thought after reading half way through another thread before getting bored... why not make a definitive list of all the threads that keep cropping up?

1. The "Anything to do with kid avies" thread & ensuing sh*tfight
2. The "I'm doing survey can anyone help" thread
3. The "How do i make friends/Nobody talks to me" thread
4. The "I can't login which sucks because I'm a Premium member" thread

And of course the opposite list of common themes that should be encouraged

1. The hunt for magellan linden
2. Any very long ongoing threads about nothing at all
3. Anything to do with chickens

There must be more...

5. The 'I'm leaving' thread
6. The 'Hello I'm back' thread
7. The 'OMG I have been ripped off' thread <= this should be number 1.

Every time there's some excting new feature in SL, we always get threads from people who denounce the new upgrade and say they 'just want LL to fix SL so it works properly and forget about fancy new tricks'.

SL works better now than it did when I joined nearly 2 years ago - bring on the new features, I say - especially dynamic shadows. Now videos of SL with very realistic shadows have appeared on YouTube etc., proving it CAN and HAS been done, it's only a matter of time!

What about an "Is it cheating" thread. What happened to those?

Moral dilemma threads are the best.

There's the 'my neighbour has surrounded my house with giant orange balls that make a roaring noise and wants to buy me out for L$75 or they'll AR me, should I sell?' type thread.

At least a moral dilemma has entertainment value for the rest of us!

I get really fed up with those recurring threads where attractive females complain about the lack of nice men, and having to spend lots of time posting to reassure them that some of us *do* exist and to offer to meet them inworld to prove it.

Those are actually free personals ads from people who are too lazy to travel around inworld and visit places where they can meet people. It's a big time saver.


Recurring thread: Loudly complaining with plenty of foul language about LL incompetence by people whose computer/network/preferences setup is actually at fault.
