What do you feel you need to do during the day?

Hello.

I am researching for a project I am working on and would
really like to ask you for your opinions on some questions.
There are four questions, but I’ll put them up one by one
because I don’t want to influence your answers!

The first question is ‘What do you feel you need to do during
the day?’

This can relate to any aspect of your life – be both specific to
you as an individual as well as stating the obvious things that
you know applies to everyone.

The second question will be posted on Sunday 2nd November.
Hopefully it will be an interesting project and produce a good
debate – watch this space!

I feel the need. . .the need for SPEED.

If you mean in my real life, I am a person with a career who has very flexible hours. I am involved with teh arts and am very busy. I spend a great deal of my time communictaing with others in a creative process and the product at the end of that process is essential to my (hopefully!) success. I work long hours but can have extensive periods of hiatus.
I come on to sl when I need a break - it isnt my ONLY means of a respite but it is a valid therapy for my intense day. Here I can be creative with my homes and my relationships without having too much responsibility. At night I make time for sl right before bed when I should be emailing my associates who are just getting up or in teh middle of their workday in teh global community. Sl therefore is an extension of my acquaintances, colleagues and friends around teh world.

Oh and to the question - What do I feel I need to do during the day? Make money. Honestly. I need to make money in teh real world. (Most will probably agree)

i find getting dressed is a good start to my day

Eat, drink, talk, breath, drive, speak, look, type, walk, urinate, listen, scratch, bend, laugh, destroy the fabric of space time, crap, cough, drink, sit, complain, think, shop, mutter, stand up, push, swear, smell, pull, read, touch, crack one off whilst watching countdown

Isn't it kind of personal to be asking what we feel we need to do during the day?

My only driving need is to survive.

True, but I am in the creative arts field in real so I think my creativity is offset by my desire for a viable and attractive product for a large audience. So money becomes a raisonne d'etre.
Otherwise, I enjoy my house and the landscape, art, books, small meals, music (especially classical) and my Jeep and MG. I speak to my Mum who lives thousands of miles away by phone all teh time (I have no other relatives). I am involved in all of these aspects of my day. Like many people, I have happily sacrificed family for a career and I balance exhaustion and activity by coming to sl, meeting interesting people and even having an intimate relationship.

You manage to give us enough crap, so I'd say yeah.

I would like to tell you what i feel i need to do...

I need to bring my mobile with me at everytime,,, if i don´t do it i get sick!
I need to spend about 5 minutes everyday to think about all the thing that needs to be done in that day...

What else...? Sure there are a lot of things and we didn´t think about them.

Uh...sleep mostly. I'm a night person.

Well........ if I don't go to work, then I don't get paid and then I'll end up living on the streets with no internet connection or computer and then I won't be able to log in to SL or the forums to answers the various interview/survey requests that we get..

so....... I guess during the day I feel that I probably better go to work.

You might want to give the other idea a try. It may be better for you in the long run

So what you are saying is you are a lady of the night?

Literally yes, but otherwise I mostly sit at my computer, play video games, and generally be a lady nerd.

In real life I feel I need to work so that I can retire and do what I WANT to do rather than what I need to do. I would like to get back into some serious illustration work or maybe some (gasp) "fine" art, but the university that employs me in a non-art related role has health insurance -- so the illustration career is on the back burner. I've had my ten years run at it which is about average they say.

If you mean in the day in SL, that would be the same things I always do since I usually set my environment to some time of day. I like to be able to see. I build, shop, explore, collect avatars, and on very rare occasions socialize.

The cynic in me wonders if this is a thinly disguised survey . . .

the only thing i need to do is breathe...the rest is just killing time until the day comes that i need to die.

Lounging by a pool on a tropical island with a muscle bound hunk in a loin cloth feeding me grapes and fetchig me ice cold cocktails with the little umbrellas.. um..
