A forum brought me back to SL when I quit. I couldn't come here since I had cancelled my account. After about 3 days, I decided to lurk at SLU, I stayed quiet for another day or two, the slowly got back into the conversations, and was bac here in 3 weeks. If I wasn't at SLU, I'm sure I would have been" out of sight out of mind" and would have never come back to SL. |

How about discussing manners and attitudes in forum threads? Or how I woke up a dead website and get people talking. I would say that the forum is pretty lively, with or without you and your role is overstated. There are plenty of discussions related to SL that go on in here, but this is primarily a help forum. I'm sorry you seem to be confused about that. There is a lively discussion section at SL Universe, and you can discuss all manner of things without fear of LL reprisal. _____________________

I do have one wish as far as manners is that some individuals be it in forum or in world would grow up a little and maybe like to sites like Scarleteen and maybe get some education. Some of threads not pointing fingers on anyone but they do get a bit "Jerry Spring" -ish.

Do you really think that's going to happen? It's already 3 months past when they said it would. *shrug* They have taken a greater investment in the forums in terms of time, so I think it will eventually happen. Maybe they are feeling the strain of the economy too. Who knows. If it doesn't happen... well, life goes on. _____________________
