My first instinct is to say.. "considered asking the people with the 4 legged avs?"
I realize that may sound flippant.. but I'm trying to make a larger point here. There's NOTHING that people with unique avatars like more, than to discuss their avatar. If they didn't like the attention, they'd be using "Nightclub Female" that comes default nowadays. You gotta be bold, and jump in, when you see someone in a cutsey av, just right click them real quick, and select "IM".. and pop off. "That avatar is so awesome! may I ask where you got it?" Some of the best conversations I have had, have started over something as simple as some great shoes, or a gorgeous skin.. or what-have-you. That said, I wish I COULD help you more directly with information. I've seen the kind of avs you mean. The closest I have seen to what you're talking about, is some my-little-pony tiny av's.. and I lost that landmark. _____________________

Jakkal's Werehouse sells them, in a wide range of species. I have their tricolor collie, their red fox, and their black wolf, and all are excellent. Jakkal has a store in Bruin, a vendor in Serenity Woods, and vendors in a lot of the major malls. Look for her "Critters" line for quad dogs, wolves, foxes and the like. She also sells quad gryphons and other creatures. She also has matching anthro versions for most, if not all, of her quad avatars.
IM me in-world, and I'll give you landmarks and other references. I have a few others I can point you to, but am not in-world and so am unable to check names until tomorrow. _____________________
Sorry, LL won't let me tell you where I sell my textures and where I offer my services as a sim builder. Ask me in-world.

I have freebie four legged horse avatar I wore it once but it just seemed bit too big for me.
I have thought of looking for another 4 legged avatar or trying to figure out how to make one if I can figure it out. So thanks for asking the question and mention a place to go. Second Life is huge and sometimes its hard to find what you're looking for even with search. Some times FurNation has some free animal avatars that are pretty nice. Yeap there is lot of 2 and 4 legged Zombies in Second Life for numerous reasons. |

thanks so much for those useful responses. i will indeed check out jakkals next time i am in world. i should have been more specific in my initial inquiry, i would dearly like to be a rat, ferret or other small rodent/mustelid (i did post in the wanted section of this forum, but have had no replies yet).
but a dog is a valid alternative for now at least. lets hope i can be scampering with the best of them real soon ![]() |

There's a multitude of 'taur' vendors at the better Furry malls. Jakkal's 'critter' avatars are better if you're wanting a non-anthromorphic avatar (an actual dog/coyote/fox/whathaveyou) and most of the 'furry 'taur kits' are easily enough adapted for a human avatar.

I am a four-legged avatar. D&D Dogs made my avatar - their prices are quite good, too. They have pet dogs as well as dog avatars. I have a link in my profile picks if you want to look me up in world. If you get one, spring for the tricks package so you can pee on stuff.
When I first got here almost a year ago, I had a hard time finding non-anthro animal avatars. Seems like it's still a pretty limited market. Edit: Wow, I just noticed this is a thread resurrected from about the same time I was looking. How did that happen? I wonder if there are more doggie avatars available now than there were back then. If there are, I still haven't seen them. _____________________

Another vote here for grendals children. i went there last week in search of a themed outfit, and i saw many people with interesting 4 legged avatars.. i even had a giant t-rex come up and roar in my face when i pretended to run from it... all in good humor.
A few stopped and talked about their avvies, so I am sure a visit there would be a good idea ![]() _____________________

... my surname seeks a good Centaur avatar. ... yet to find one. Any advice? There's someone in Caledon who makes a centaur avatar... Virginia Tombola I think... if you do a search on SLX though for centaur you should find hers and perhaps others too. As for the other four legged avatars, I've heard good things about Grendles and the Wearhouse.. sorry if I've misspelt that. -Atashi _____________________

I'm typically a quad (hmmm.. that doesn't sound right), and second the vote for Lost Ferals... great lions, tigers, and ligers with a fantastic AO. Honestly, the best quad large felines I've seen in SL.
Also have to put a plug in for the Isle of Wyrms (sim Cathedral for a starting point) for quad dragons. I also have some of the quad avatars from Grendel's, and you can't beat their prices. |

No, Bilbo .. that was me. It just tickles my withers that you remembered me.
![]() Ina Centaur ... I got my Avvie from The Werehouse ... that's Jakkal's business name. Several folks here have already mentioned her - I chime in as a satisfied customer. Werehouse has many 4-legged Avvies. |

Thanks for the kind words about the Lost Ferals, you lot.
Ina, give me a shout in-world regarding Centaurs. I've done a 'taur AO and I'm working on an equine version as we speak. _____________________

Hoof It! has some amazingly cute and realistic pony avatars, halters, ribbons and so forth, as well as some attractive regular riding horses.
