Bot post coming to the blog in the next few minutes allegedly. This could be interesting. Can a workable solution be found?

Well, if they continue their current course, it will be a whole-hearted endorsement of any and all uses of Bots, however rapacious or abusive. Since that makes the least sense in terms of Resident opinions on Bots.
More likely "We are planning to work with Bot Owners and Bot farms to find an appropriate solution to aid in getting other residents accept bots as neighbors and useful features in Second Life...". _____________________

I'm on pins and needles waiting for this announcement. I've dated several of Phil's bots and I'm concerned for their well being.

I think I see why I have to call your social secretary to get on your calendar now. Hey...do all furniture makers date their bots? What's the story on that, Phil? _____________________

The blog was much to do about nothing. Nothing was really presented or changed. They did ask for resident feedback about bots so the plus side is that their at least acknowledging the problem.

It's easy to see why it took Jack 3 months to get this posted. I mean, the time he must have spent writing such a huge number of words! The many complex and multi-faceted issues that HR, PR and the legal team must have wrangled over before such a bold, broad sweeping announcement such as this could have been published!!
The mind boggles that it was so swift! _____________________

For this post we're going to use the funky new Discussions feature of the new blog, which is threaded and should make the conversation easier to follow. Just click the button to join the discussion! *sigh* Funky! Something that actually works would be good. _____________________

Hey! Now that's what some would call Funky!
A great big button labelled "Join the Discussion". Click it and you get a near clone of the button centre screen. Click that and it disappears. Ignore the tiny icon to the South West of the BIG FRIENDLY CLICKABLE BUTTON That only takes you to a screen that gets your hopes up for a while. Duh! ![]() _____________________

welcome to the new forums. =/ I click on the discussion button and can't tell what the hell I'm suppose to do next. Either I'm dense, or this new set up is crap. _____________________

I tried three different browsers: Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari, and the "Discussion" gives me no way to add comments in any of them. And I ad to get out from behind a firewall to even see the page where one is *supposed* to be able to make a comment! With the firewall in place (which has no problem with the LL website, forums or blogs), the "Join the discussion!" button did as someone else cited, and moved a copy of the button to screen cenetr, rather than taking you to the discussion page.

I click on the discussion button and can't tell what the hell I'm suppose to do next. Either I'm dense, or this new set up is crap. You can get slightly further if you click here: https://blogs.secondlife.com/thread/1051?tstart=0 Or maybe you need to log out and back in. Personally I totally don't get it. _____________________

Blue Linden set up the Discussion. I just sent Blue an e-mail, letting him know the discussion isn't allowing replies. Not even giving you a way to try to reply.
