You may also see more people here because it basicly a "Free to Play" game. with the Economy the way it is people may have to give up the $14.95 a month WoW or whatever accounts but they still like to play on line .. so they will be looking for free to play worlds to fill in thier entertainment time.

Also in tough times people like to escape thier real world woes and look to entertainment to "make them forget" for a few hours. .. during the depression one indusrty that boomed was movie making as people would spend thier last nickle to be able to escape thier own problems for a few hours to watch a fantasy world.

The biggest hurdle still remains the NUE (New User Experience). LL continues to tweak here and there, knowing that a 15% retention rate just isn’t going to cut it.

SL needs a social director. Someone who will use automated tools to find things, but also read the community forums for word-of-mouth. This person needs to put together a list of hand-picked "best-of-SL" things to do, places to shop, etc, but mostly things to do. This person needs to be accountable to nobody but the success of the list. No padding the list with buddies, cronies and pets. The list needs to be useful, not fair.

I started working toward this goal some time ago and found it to be way too much work for one unpaid person. This person needs to be on the Linden payroll but be independent enough to be able to not accept Linden suggestions.

The list (and the social director) needs to serve the residents, not the Lindens or shop owners or sim developers or famous personalities or land barons or...

The list needs to be useful, not fair. And it needs to be easily accessible from the viewer.

I am a lifetime account. :D

is there any way to find out if an old account is still around? I actualy made an account here in 2003 .. but at the time it was 14.95 a month, there were something like 25-30 sims in total and maybe 100 or so people would be logged on... so I went back to Everquest for another 5 years. .. just curious if that old account is still "here" (I cant recall the name at all and im not even sure what my E-mail was back them even)

And I am thinking it is both bots and more 'end users'.

Many of the new residents these days have never rezzed a prim.

Adjust an attachment, sure! Align a prim, good luck.

I ressed a prim, a ball... then I clicked "physical" to see what it would do... the ball rolled down the beach into the water and disapeared into the Ocean..... I then decided to become a consumer.

Im a klutz, and I will admit it. I cant draw a straight line with a ruler, I cut off peoples heads when I take thier picture. I cant colour inside the lines....

I may not be able to Photoshop.... but I sure can Shop!

Kyllie you could call and ask a Linden about your account that how I got mine back from January 23, 2003.
Mine didn't show up until I reactivated him.
I don't use him on regular basis and I am not as attached to him as FD Spark alt but still it is cool to have him back after thinking I lost him.

See that would of amazed me as a noob! And I would want to know more...it shows the possibilities of what you could do with a little time and practice...that said.. I am a slow learner and Photoshop took all of my brain power so I never did learn to build
