From: Linden Lab blog entry about SL6B
— If you haven't yet noticed, the industrious people on the Teen Grid have sent an entire region across the age gap for our amusement. The Region is named (appropriately) SL6B Teen. It has appended itself to the side of the main event, and can be reached by a causeway from SL6B Polaris. It's a lovely piece of work, and the Teens are undoubtedly the Future of Virtual Worlds. Come see how they are going to knock you off your pedestal, gramps.

Proof that Phillip's statements about why the teen and adult grids need to be merged, plus Zindra and speculation that it's paving the way for them do so, being provided here?

"the Teens are undoubtedly the Future of Virtual Worlds" could also be interpreted as something as simple as a warning that they won't always be teens, therefor, indeed, coming to the main grid.

To be fair to Dusty's blog post, it makes sense for some of the teens to have their work showcased, they should be a part of SL6B, just make sure they aren't at any parties.

I'm pretty damn sure the kids will be here in some shape within twelve months, LL aren't doing all this cleanup of mainland and adult content business for a few moaning minnies who are offended at adult content in an 18+ world.

saying they are the future of virtual worlds could mean they are the next generation..i really didn't get a hint of them merging..

was the region a display sent over by them??

I believe the children are our future, teach them well and let them lead the way.

Yes, it's pretty neat and it's nice to see what they can produce.

Seeing a sim build copied over to the main grid is about as much evidence of a teen grid merge as it is a beta grid merge. (=_=)

If they did that, they might actually get more testing done :-)

It is very true in general real life kids are way more savy in scripting and so forth and they do need a place... or maybe a chance to sell and be involved with the main part of SL, but they can't come to the mainland for gods sake.

Can they sell on x street as is now?

Well the teens I have seen in the main grid seem only interested in sex. Had a kid ( he kept telling me he was not a kid even though he was under 18) all he wanted to do was the horizontal tango and trust me i left that area feeling a little ill. Im not Madonna Im not into toy boys

well, yes... these kids today who have no respect for their parents, no respect for the law and certainly no respect for virtual divides.. yup they are our future...

Don’t you ever ask them why
If they told you, you would cry
So just look at them and sigh
And know they love you.
