hi.....does anyone know the timings involved in offering a partnership to your dearly beloved. I understand you can propose through the SL website and write an appropriate little note, but how quickly will she/he be notified of your proposal and how soon does it appear in your partner profile?

The message will be sent to them as soon as you "propose." You'll be partnered with their name in your profile as soon as they "accept." Any overblown, drama filled engagements, wedding planning, etc should be done before they do the latter.

Only time I seem to repeatively accidentally hit partner proposal button was when
I was briefly hanging out this very laggy club.. I would have to constantly being hitting the cancel button. Almost most bizarre lag I have experienced especially in how how my computer had mind of its own with friendship and partner button. Hehe I have no clue about the timing then because I never followed through hit the propose buttons confirmation button. _____________________
