Thanks for your help. Yes. Damanios Thetan's understanding is correct. There's no texture, but the transparent color of the prims. But there's still a line observed there even with the suggestion applied.

It's not my field of expertise so I don't volunteer information. But, if I knew I would certainly do a better job explaining. Even scripts were thrown in the mix and then to a new person at that. If you're taking the time to answer a question don't go from O to Z. Start at A then B and so on so what you're explaining is understood. As you can see the person still didn't understand after all that so how helpful were you? So because you tried to answer means you did a good job of helping this person understand what you're saying? What good is it to give a whole lot of nothing which is exactly what was offered? You're talking a good game but you're not saying anything. Not anything that would be understood by someone just coming in. It's not to hard to see the person in question is new therefore a simpler term is what's needed. Duh! Or don't you know? Want to learn how to use alpha channels so you can explain it? http://www.bertmonroy.com/tutorials/text/17_alpha.htm http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/a/alpha_channel.htm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alpha_compositing There you go. And Damanios, that was a really good explanation! I've done it so much that it's become an unthinking habit for me, which makes it really hard for me to break it down into the components. _____________________

How about a simple easy to understand explaination instead of all this mumbo jumbo you guys are spatting out. How do you expect someone just coming in to understand all that. Looks more like a college math. Then throwing in scripts too? If you're going to take time to answer then explain what you're talking about instead of talking like you would to someone who knows what it is you're talking about. You know people come on here to help and do the best they can, Ricardo. Not everyone has teaching credentials. At least they are trying rather than regularly coming on here to vent for no damn reason. Why don't you go find some political forum where you can rant and rave all you want and no one expects you to offer any help whatsoever. _____________________

I just went through the following process:
Create a default cube. Set Use Grid on. Set Grid unit to .5 Using the grid drag the cube till it's at a grid snap point Set the texture to blank. Set the transparency to 50. Drag a pure alpha texture to two opposing ends of the cube. Shift drag a copy along the axis the two clear ends are at. Snap the copy to grid so it is perfectly flush against the original. The seam is completely invisible. It doesn't appear to matter what angle or distance you look at it from, the seam will not appear. _____________________
