At one point Pontiac had a sim, don't know if it's still in SL.
Autodesk and Solidworks, both computer-aided-design software companies are both in SL. Also another catagory you may want to include is museums. Two that I was rtold about recently but haven't visited yet are "The San Jose Tech Museum and the Exploratorium in the Palace of Fine Arts". Please post an updated list after it has grown a bit, if you would.  _____________________

The few I know
Exploratorium The San Jose Tech Museum Science Friday Comcastic And I think Akiba and the surrounding sims are somehow connected to the Japan Chamber of Commerce. (^_^) .... Solidworks in SL? (o.o) Heh.... Maybe they can help us with a sculptie converter. I use Alibre myself. (^_^)y _____________________

Among the others previously mentioned, there are: University of Denver Department of Physics and Astronomy The National Physical Laboratory in the UK Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth NASA Ames Research Center Elon University Imperial College London US National Library of Medicine NIH National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Space Society Space Studies Group Space Frontier Foundation Loughborough University Future Focus - BERR (UK) Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center Northern Michigan University North Carolina State University physics dept. These are just a few of more than 40 science-related organizations and universities that are members of a loose confederation in SL known as the SciLands. But its more related to the PR team in Japan thats help get the city business grous that are in it/ and other business to do a coop with LLABS. They just go to retailers asking them if they want to be part of the Sl trend...... |

Thanks a lot ppl, I'm havin a "Sim-Hoppin" marathon checkin out all these spots, this is great lol. I just woke up this mornin, thinkin about how Pontiac, Nintendo and a few other companies left SL last year, figured I would check out somma the newer business and education spots. *goes back into the breach*

There are a number of small and medium sized RL companies located on the Etopia Sims...a few of those include:
Heatsavers Abraham Paiss and Assoc. People Path Her Startup Greenpeace AeroGrow Martin Purnell and Assoc There are a number of other biz's and non-profits with a presence in Etopia where the emphasis is on preserving the environment. _____________________

American Apparel and Pontiac have both shut down. The 7 sims that used to be Pontiac's Motorati now belong to United Spinal Association and are called Motorability. Pontiac was generous. United Spinal is a fine organisation. _____________________
