From: Ceka Cianci this is what happens when LL does things half assed..they put out a program that the residents can use that doesn't break the rules...but then they never finished making the rest of it..such as the part that pulls them from counting as traffic.. Now, now.. you're giving them entirely too much credit. Linden Lab never does anything half-assed when whole-assed works just as well. I set Raudf and Trilliannas as my scripted agents, because both wind up in the shop tweaking things and I don't want them to count on my shop's traffic. But as usually, LL can't be arsed to just hold onto the scripted agent part of the code until they had the "they don't count" done. That's the half-assed part. The whole-assed is that they're giving the traffic bot runners the green light until then to bulk up their traffic, by declaring their bots as scripted agents. That screws over those of us who have lucky chairs, mm boards, or something to draw actual residents to our shops, because we're likely to get slapped for actual people loitering.

Since the 'scripted agent' thing came out, there has been a window for people to use registered bots for the traffic. I said that in the blog at the time. But what's amazed me is that LL are not touching pure traffic bots such as those in boxes in the sky, like I used to have, as long as they are registered, even though they are completely against theToS. It's staggering.
