Romance is what you make of it.

Find some place with a ballon ride or some other slow, scripted over view. Still, this is not necessary; any park bench, beach or picnic blanket will do. Once you have her alone, tell her:
- How you feel about her.
- Why you feel that way about her.
- How she makes you feel (not the same as the first one, this is your reaction to her involvement in your life)
- Where you see yourself being with her this time next year. (if you are also RL partners, make this at least 5 years)

Find a big chunk of Linden Ocean and take her sailing at night.

I also second the vote for Apollo. Maybe dancing at a club first, then retire to Apollo and find a nice place to hang out. The poseballs you'll find there are romantic but not "adult"

Edit: Incidentally, I put "romantic" into search places once. I recall getting some good results and some that made me wonder exactly what people were thinking when they put "romantic" into the search terms.

Theres also the neatest space sim..I know that doesn't "sound" romantic..but they've attached cuddle poses to asteroids that rotate around the stars and planets...fireworks going off etc. it's really nice to cuddle with that special someone while soaring thru the air like PeterPan and Wendy.

Depends really on what your like tastes are..there are tons of castles thru SL..heck Bogart made a n airport romantic. Ive built a trainstation with a passenger car that gives you that "out of world" feeling.

Id suggest getting someone to create a spot for you..dance balls..candles...where you choose...sprinkle thru it things you both share...memories...objects..even pictures...dance, talk, share..take more pics..voila..my heart would melt

I have a boat ride that's fun to take your partner on: Go to the island of Patria, and the map there at the landing point has tele-links to the ride, and also to the romantic ballroom.

I also have a slow dance spot on the top of the mountain in the mainland sim of Devolin Mal. The sign post there at the landing point also has a teleport.

One of my newest favorite romantic spots is Camelot Gardens. It has similar ambiance to Avilion (including a lovely castle ballroom) but without the lag. There are also some really pretty gardens with sweet pose balls to discover.

Secret Reflections and Midnight Reflections are two sims you may want to check out.

I haven't been to either in quite a long while, so I'm assuming they haven't changed.
