Strange avatar on my island

There's a strange person on my island, she's not doing any griefing, she's not causing trouble, she's .... well she's not doing much at all.

She's been there for over 24 hours and has walked about 20 paces. She has a tag of "Slave to Love" and she'll be booted off soon when the rolling restart hits my sim, but what the heck, anyone had anything like this?

Where's Cherry when I need her! She's good with weirdoes!

Hmmm, I just put her in a transparent box and she moved! She won't talk!!!

Alternatively could be somebody very shy or can't speak english. Have you also considerd the possibility she may be your love slave?

She speaks English according to her profile and there's no love slaving going on in the middle of the commercial zone, it's against the covenant, I'd have to ban myself!

I'm now trying to tempt her with freebies.

If all else fail rez a chicken on her head - gradually increase the size of the chicken until it completely engulfs her. Then see if she says anything

Maybe she was told to stand there by her master until he comes back..

probly unrelated, but before i got a home to fool around in, i use to go to random low population or empty sims to edit my avatar, or edit something i was wearing.
mahybe he/she was doing that and got a straneg disconnect bug causes her/him to be there for hours?

Probably unrelated, but once happened to me, I was at a mall, watching some clothes for my partner, and then teleported home, and got an IM asking if I like any of the clothes, I asked who it was, the person said it was the store owner and that she was a little worried I was for so long time there without buying, I asked her what she meant since I was at my home, and she said I was right there in the store in front of her, she even described the clothes I was wearing (by that time I had already changed), and apparently my "double" dissappeared when I teleported to another place. So for a moment I was at two places at the same time...weird, but it may be what happens with that avatar

Most likely she is a ghosted AV. Search the forum for "Ghosted" and you'll see what I mean.

I have a friend who reckons she was stuck on an island for 3days as a newbee, seems odd to me but she swears she was stuck there. People tried to help her but she could get out.

So if she's been there 24hrs, does that mean she has not logged off her PC?

No answer, but I think you're onto something, she mentions not being tamed by a master in her profile. She only moves when I try and put her in the vampire cage.

She does move though. Ah well I'll see what happens after the rolling restart.

I have just been reading the forums on ghost AV's. it's really quite creepy. One person was saying she got IM's from someone asking why she has been standing looking through the window for hours.........she was not online. Errr scary

Aparently they disapear when the AV goes back to the sim the ghost is on

Ghosted AVs have been around for YEARS. I tused to be common for me to look in the sky and see 5o flying AVs stuck at the sim boarder not moving LOL.

A relog or a sim restart usually fixes it. I have heard with the new ones sending them an IM can halp. Knocks the AV offline if they are stuck.

Strangest ghosted avi story I have is one about me! I was dancing with my man...crashed...logged back on, only to see me..name tag and all still standing there! VERY odd. He saw it too. After about 5 minutes my doppleganger disappeared.

I had a friend who got stuck in a wall during a tp. She logged out. I got the avatar offline notice. But she was still stuck in the wall. I waited for a few minutes watching her bounce around in the wall and got an IM from someone who told me she had emailed him and asked him to tell me she was having trouble logging in. I knocked her out of the wall with a push weapon and she disappeared, restoring cosmic balance to the grid, and she was able to log in again.

Another time, someone told me they saw my name floating over empty space at a hangout we both knew. She insisted I was wearing an invisibility prim, but I was in another sim at the time.

I think answer is far simpler than everybody thinks...

Hm, strange have not had this happen to me, but I get to eject quite a few naked men from my island.... after looking my fill first of course... pictures etc.. If they are just naked I ask to put clothes on and I will tour them about, but wearing an attachment gets auto eject..

I like that chicken idea though...

I had something happen yesterday where I froze someone wandering on my land, but they were still walking about.. so what use is freeze?

I actually had one avatar (new) pop into my parcel and demand I give him my gun (I was ready to fire) becuase he paid me 1L.. I ended up shooting him, when he came back he did it again.. auto ban and eject, then the dork just floated at the edge of my parcel .. contact sim owner, baned from SIM... yikes he was a freakoid
