Hello, I'm looking for a house that a friend of mine who no longer plays the game used to have. We had the house already back in September of 2008.

What I can tell you about the house is that it was a very big house. The front door when you would enter would say "SO AND SO is at the front door." When you would exit the back door (Which was off the living room) it would say "so and so is at the back door".

The house had blinds that you could have see through, partial see through, or not being able to see through at all. When you walked in the front door, to the right was the kitchen. To your left was the living room and straight ahead was steps that went to the upstairs where there were 3 rooms. The house was an off white color and had a dark gray roof (i believe). Inside there were also green curtains as you can see from the pictures.

I have only a couple pictures of the house and none of the outside but i'm hoping somebody can help me out here. It's a very big house and in front there is a balcony which is off of one of the bedrooms.

BEST PIC OF OUTSIDE: http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb269/jjk521/Second%20Life/lak.jpg

Inside pic #1: http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb269/jjk521/Second%20Life/House1.jpg

Inside pic #2: http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb269/jjk521/Second%20Life/House2.jpg

Outside corner: http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb269/jjk521/Second%20Life/Angels.jpg

I thank anyone in advance for the help.

Sadly, many builders in SL use the same door script that will give you that message. So that clue may not narrow things down as much as you'd wish.

One builder that I believe uses that door script is Jack Feaver. His store is called Houses that Jack Built and it is in the Berkshire sim. But I don't think he created houses with those green curtains.

Agreed. Aside from the size (1/4 sim??? Holy $#*%!) and the green curtains, the description sounds like half my builds.

That is my best outside picture i have.. I'm still checking more pictures to see if I have anything else but that's it for now.

And it's not a 1/4 sim but it was bigger than most.

Fixed it so the picture shows up for folks. I've looked at a lot of houses and I'm afraid I don't recall seeing that gray color on any of them.

It seems to me unlikely that this house is still there.

If your friend rented the house, then the landlord will have rented it to someone else or even replaced it with another.

If your friend owned it and the land, then it will have reverted to Linden Labs after he left unless he is still paying tier.

People here will be glad to help you but we need more clues. Have you any logs of conversations you had when you were visiting it? Any Landmarks perhaps? Did you join a group connected with the land?

He wants to buy a new version, I think. Not find the original house...

I don't know. But those are pretty basic building materials and scripts. Any halfway decent builder could build you one like it.

I'd post the request in the products wanted forum.

I'm looking for the original. I know it's a freebie pool, that didn't come with the house. I just took a shot, if it can't be found, it can't. Just was taking a chance.

It wasn't a rented house, it's a house that you rez and has the little rez box thing that looks like it has fireworks inside.

The blinds, the curtains, the scripted owner door, all of it is standard to SL.

Again, you could have the same thing built from scratch, if you wanted.

You could make it say that somebody else other than the person clicking it is at the door, would that then be no longer sad?

Etid:

To the OP: Are you serious or are you messing with us? and who's the chick? Is she single? and why does she have my picture on her bedroom wall?

That thought crossed my mind too. He has a website you can browse homes. Not sure how many are on there but maybe worth a look for the OP. www.gallandhomes.com/index.html

I know the rez box isn't part of the home I was just trying to give as many details of the house as possible.

I will check out those houses and see if anything comes to mind.

No the woman isn't single. She doesn't have your pic on the wall. and yes I'm serious. Again, like i've said before, I was just taking a chance. thought maybe somebody would know.

Thanks to all so far!

What I mean is you aren't trying to find your friend's exact copy of the house on a sim somewhere. That you want to find and buy your own copy of that same house so you can rez it wherever you want. Right?

Perhaps post this on SLuniverse.com. A lot of builders and old-timers over there.

Nostalgia is fine, but with so many fine prefab houses out there, and so many fine custom builders for hire, and the build tools easy to learn yourself, I don't see wasting much time on it.

It's OK, Josh, I wasn't meaning to put you down...just pointing out that there are a lot of alternatives available to you.

We're just trying to help Josh, don't get discouraged. But it is a good excuse to go house hunting (try XL Street it will be quicker), and hey you might find one you like even better.

Does your friend's account still exist? The house might be in inventory somewhere.

You can also search through xstreet. Sort by prim count to start with highest and go down - that one sounds like it probably used a lot.

No his account does not still exist. I thought about that but no luck.

I am trying a search but it takes so dang long. It's not that high prim of a house either, it's real basic. The kitchen area had a counter and stove already all setup but they were just blocks with textures.
