Enough already - I don't need the same e-mail 10 times!

Okay. So LL sent out their "Adult Grace Period" message tonight. Once is enough. When I started this post I had 8 of them. I now have 11. Not sure how many more I will get before I send this, but... come on. I changed my sim to Adult on DAY #1. I heard you the first time. And thanks for the reminder, but you're going to crash my e-mail!

I know. No one from LL will read this, but I wanted to vent (and maybe see if anyone else is getting 100 of these silly things) lol

I got one the first time around, but not this time (not yet). Would you mind posting the text of the email here for discussion?

UPDATE: I did get the email yesterday evening. Funny thing is I only *own* a 16m test parcel, with one prim on it. I contribute tier, but my alt actually owns the rest of the land.

I don't use adult key words in the estate description but a club on one of my islands certainly does in the parcel description, so I'm rather surprised I haven't received one. What does it say about the "adult grace period"?

/me got one of these tonight too but I abandoned all my non-zindra mainland weeks ago.

I added a support ticket saying that it would be really helpful if they included slurls in these things.

In September, the Adult Content Policy transition period will end, and in preparation, we recently reviewed parcel descriptions and classified advertisements. We noticed that, while either your parcel description or classified ad contains or references adult content, your land is not flagged as Adult. We're writing to alert you to this oversight in your listing and let you know how easy it can be to address it. Please note that if you don't take action, your listings may be removed from search results (though they will continue to incur full listing fees) and account restrictions may be imposed when the transition period ends.

How can you avoid this messiness and continue to reach your target audience with your listings? Simply comply with the Adult Content Policy by taking one of the following actions, if you have not already done so:

1. Private region owners, change your region rating to Adult.
2. If you rent, or if you own Mainland property then move to an Adult region (Zindra or Adult rated private region.
3. OR Remove any adult-themed content from your parcel description, classified ad and land (whichever is applicable).

if they could give a hint as to what the offending word is or the slurl to the property where the offending word is - that would help. For now its a Wait-To-Be-Suspended- September game.

As you can't set classifieds to adult, even on adult land they probably sent these to everyone who got red flagged in their alert systems by having adult words on mature classifieds.
I got one, only have one classified ad and it is set on adult land as location, only shows up in adult searches but can't be set as adult in creation of it, only as PG or mature.

How can I remove the "adult" words from my land description when Linden Lab doesn't reveal the list of "adult" words?

Actually, how do I know which land I have that is violation?

I got one - this email clearly told me that I am in violation of something and is also a direct threat that they can shut off a parcel from search .. and come whip me with a wet virtual noodle..


Maybe I mis-spelled the Word Brick and their piece of garbage Scrubber Software thinks it says Dick. Or maybe it confused the words Victorian Walls with GangRape a Mother?

Maybe Doors are not PG content anymore.. afterall do you have any idea what kind of sick shit goes on behind a door in SL?

I do have my sim split up into several different parcels... so that might have been why I got so many of the darned things. lol Either way - it was kind of annoying that I was on call last night so I had to have my e-mail beeper on to get up and check it - and those puppies came in hard and fast for a while there.

Oh well. I have no problem with the content of it - we toggled everything to adult the first day Zindra opened up.

I'm thinking it may be to do with classifieds - although untill we can mark classifieds as "adult" i have no choice but to flag them as "mature".

While Linden Lab keeps the list of adult content keywords secret, the guys and girls at slapt.me have created and maintain a list of the offending words.

It might also be that profile picks pointing to your old locations may trigger the email. Of course, we don't have any control over what is in other people's profiles.

and since the application of the policy is at the discretion of the individual gteam member and consistency of approach is not a strong point, what ever makes you think that a little thing like having no control over what people have in their profiles is going to matter?

According to the *coughs* helpful folks in live chat, its not profile links they are looking at, its parcel descriptions and classifieds.

And as stated in other posts, since there is no *adult* listing for classifieds, even if your ON adult land, your classifieds still list mature, thus triggering your receiving a notice.


I'd still like to know how the classifieds on the first page of PG only search for the word *Escorts* have not been pulled.... when you pull them up and they are PLAINLY listed as PG for obviously ADULT things.

I got the email, even though I only own a single 16m test parcel (which I bought exactly for testing stuff like this). The test parcel has a single prim on it, and its not listed in search, nor have any words in the parcel description at all.

I do contribute tier to group owned land, but I'm not the owner of it.

So I'm clueless about *what parcel* they think breaks the rules, and *what words* I am using wrong. And I know more about this than most people, having edited the slapt.me "secret words" list, and tested all of them myself.

Overnight 120 private estates regions (and 1 Linden region) were reclassified as Adult

The current Breakdown of regions by Ownership and Classification is :

- Estate - Adult: 468
- Estate - Mature: 19645
- Estate - Offline: 9
- Estate - PG: 3255
- Linden - Adult: 290
- Linden - Mature: 3838
- Linden - PG: 1420

Cool, thanks Tyche, I updated the adult content wiki page. It comes to 2.62% of the total grid is rated adult now.

I am, frankly, amazed. That corresponds to LL's original and widely disbelieved "2 to 3% Adult Content" figure.

I wonder if there is a lot more Adult Content out there that is going to get moved (or deleted) in the coming weeks. Looking around the grid, I see a lot of potential violators.
I was at a location Monday night that featured not only strippers, but sex rooms, and ads depicting RL nudity. And a store last night that sold torture devices (with pictures! Ewwww.) Neither was on Adult land.

But.. but... They HAVE TO know how it looks when they come out with some stat like that, the 2-4% thing, and everybody shouts "BS!!" in unison, asks how they got that number and LL refuses to even acknowledge the question, let alone give an answer.

How could they possibly NOT know how that looks?

I think it's clear that they picked the number and then reclassified "Adult" until they got something that fit.
