Doh beat me to it. I saw it on Not Possible In Real Life and was going to post it here. It's on Youtube too so I loaded it onto my SL televisions. It's what SL should be like. :D

Amazing!! The ending made me wonder if he built it all in a public sandbox!

The opening build sequences almost captured the wonder that I felt when I started rezzing prims.

"And hey!!!" - I thought immediately - "He's using megaprims!!"
and
"If I had 15000 megaprims and 'about two years of post production' I could do that 'in a single day' ;)

Oh my god, that was so beautiful Sindy! And yes, a few of those tear things fell at the end. Truly beautiful, thank you Sindy :)

If SL were like that I would need a feeding tube and a catheter & colostomy bag because I would never leave the VR room.

Wow... truly inspiring! When he was building it, it really did make me think of building in SL. Everything he did when building it... just wow! That was just amazing!

That was very cool.

I still think that "Watch the Worlds" is cooler, because it's a real virtual world.

(trying to avoid getting too recursive here)

Gosh if we were blobs of jelly in a jar that would make playing with yourself at the keyboard while cybering kinda hard. :p

I think people would manage.
From: Greg Egan, "Schild's Ladder
Yann lay on the floor watching him. "I think I'm getting all the signals you're talking about," he mused, "But they're so crude, even now. And before, it was just a single message, repeating itself endlessly: 'be happy, be happy, be happy!' Do you think there's something wrong with this body?"
Yann is a cybernetic entity, raised from 'birth' in some distant descendant of virtual reality. This is its reaction to its first experience of physical sex.

Sindy, thank you for sharing this. It is eerily similar to how SL building works (just has a more comfortable interface *gg*), and it really captures the wonder of being able to create the stuff that is only in your mind. And yes, the solution made me bawl like a baby.

03-06-2009 16:57
I never heard of this guy before, is he famous? he should be, I shall watch that many many times, breathtaking and spooky at the same time, I mean, isn't that almost what we do (when it works )

I'm stunned......

It is certainly different than the 405 short from a time ago!

I liked the Default Texture and especially the Rezzer Box :)
